I can't wait to tell you all about it.On Friday after school, my best friend Sammy came over to my house to play. First, we had a snack of apples and peanut butter. Then we went outside to play some games in my backyard. We played tag for a while, running around chasing each other. I'm faster than Sammy so I was "it" a lot! After we got tired of that, we played on the swingset. I showed Sammy some tricks I learned, like jumping off the swing while it's still moving. He thought that was really cool.Later, my mom called us inside for dinner. We had tacos, which are my favorite! Sammy's mom came to pick him up after we ate. Before he left, we made plans to go to the park together on Saturday. On Saturday morning, I woke up really early because I was so excited. I had pancakes with syrup and bananas for breakfast -yum! After breakfast, I got dressed and watched some cartoons while I waited for Sammy. I laughed really hard at one of the funny parts. Finally, Sammy came over around 10 o'clock. We walked to the park near my house with our soccer ball. At the park, we kicked the ball around for a little while. Then some other kids came and we all played together on the playground. I went super high on the swings and rode down the big twisty slide a bunch of times. Sammy and I played pirates on the wooden ship playground piece. He was the captain and I was the first mate. We pretended to sail across the ocean and fought off sharks with our swords. After a couple hours, we got hungry so we ate the lunches our moms packed for us. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Goldfish crackers, a Capri Sun, and an apple. We played a little more after lunch and then headed home around 2pm because we were getting pretty tired. When I got home, I helped my dad wash his car. I used the bucket and big sponge to scrub off all the dirt. Then I sprayed the soap off with the hose. My dad let me spray him a little bit and we both got kind of wet, which was really funny! After the car wash, we changed into dry clothes. For dinner, we ordered pizza from my favorite place. We got a plain cheese pizza for me and my sister, and one with pepperoni and mushrooms for my parents. Yum! After dinner, we all cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie together. I fell asleep before the movie ended because I was so tired from my busy day.On Sunday morning, I slept in really late. When I finally woke up, I had a big breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes that my dad made. They were delicious! Then I video called my grandparents to tell them what I did over the weekend. I showed them the pictures and videos my parents took of me at the park too. They thought I looked like I had a lot of fun.In the afternoon, my family went to the mall. We didn't need to buy anything big, but my mom likes to walk around there sometimes. I saw a lot of my friends from school at the mall and we said hi to each other. I got a pretzel for a snack and played in the play area for a little while. We didn't stay at the mall too long though. When we got home, I worked on some homework that was due on Monday. I finished up a book report and did a sheet of math problems. My parents praised me for getting my workdone without them having to remind me. After that, I just watched TV and relaxed for the rest of the night before bedtime. It was such a jam-packed and exciting weekend! I can't wait for my next weekend so I can have more fun adventures. But I'm also looking forward to going back to school and seeing my teachers and the rest of my friends too. Fifth grade is the best!篇2Last Weekend's AdventuresLast weekend was so much fun! It was the kind of weekend where I got to do all my favorite things. I can't wait to tell you all about it.On Friday after school, my best friend Samantha came over to play. We worked on our big art project for school where we had to make sculptures out of recyclable materials. Samantha brought over a huge box filled with toilet paper rolls, plastic bottles, yogurt containers, and lots of other fun stuff. We spent hours cutting, gluing, painting, and making the coolest robot sculpture ever! Samantha is really good at art, so I mostly just followed her lead. When we were finally done, our robot looked awesome with its big toilet paper roll body, bottle cap eyes, and yogurt cup feet. We can't wait to show it to our teacher! After we cleaned up the big mess of art supplies, Samantha's mom came to pick her up. My mom had made us ham and cheese sandwiches for a snack, which we gobbled up pretty quickly. We were starving artists! Once Samantha left, I went outside to shoot some hoops by myself until dinner. I love playing basketball and practiced my dribbling and shooting. I even pretended I was in the championship game, running back and forth and making game-winning shots as the crowd went wild (at least in my imagination!).For dinner, we had my favorite - tacos! My dad made the most delicious ground beef and I got to add all the toppings like shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, and a bunch of hot sauce. I probably went a little overboard with the hot sauce because my mouth was on fire, but I still ate three tacos. They were that good. After dinner, we all cuddled on the couch to watch a movie together. We picked Mrs. Doubtfire, which is such a hilarious and silly movie. My parents and I were cracking up the whole time at all of Robin Williams' crazy voices and outfits. What a talent he was!On Saturday morning, I woke up excited because it was finallyGameDay for my soccer team, the Red Rockets! We had a game at 10am against our biggest rivals, the Blue Hurricanes. Mymom made me scrambled eggs with cheese for an energizing breakfast, and I could barely sit still I was so pumped up. When we arrived at the field, I did some warm-up stretches and dribbling drills with my teammates. I played defense for the first half of the game and worked really hard to stop the other team from scoring. The Blue Hurricanes only got one goal past me, which I was proud of. Then in the second half I got to play forward, which is my favorite position. About halfway through the half, our star player Timmy crossed me an amazing pass right to my foot, and I drilled the ball straight into the net! My teammates swarmed me with hugs - it was such an incredible feeling to score that goal and help lead my team to a 2-1 victory against our rivals. We jumped up and down cheering after the game. My parents were so proud and took me out for a celebratory lunch at my favorite pizza place. After lunch and a little downtime at home, we all piled in the car and drove out to my uncle's farm for the rest of the weekend.I love going to the farm! As soon as we arrived, I raced out to the barn to pet the horses, cows, sheep, and any other animals I could find. My uncle keeps such a cool menagerie. My cousin Tyler came along and we spent the afternoon exploring the fields, chasing chickens, and climbing up to the old treehouse in the backyard. We were a couple of farm explorers! For dinner, my aunt and uncle grilled up some burgers and corn on the cob. We ate outside on the picnic table, enjoying the nice weather. After dinner, my uncle started a big bonfire since it was getting dark and a little chilly. He let me have my first s'more, which was just about the most delicious thing I'd ever tasted - gooey melted chocolate and toasted marshmallow sandwiched between two graham crackers. Mmm! Sitting around the crackling fire, my cousin and I told scary stories and jokes to each other until we couldn't stop laughing. I almost didn't want the night to end, it was so cozy. Finally, I got so tuckered out that I went inside and snuggled into the warm bed in the guest room. I fell into a deep, restful sleep to recharge for the next day's adventures. I woke up early to the rooster's crow and the sunrise over the barn. After a hearty pancake breakfast, I couldn't wait to get outside and run around some more. My cousin and I spent the late morning exploring the nearby stream, splashing around and trying to catch little minnows with our hands. We both got pretty soaked and muddy, but we didn't care one bit!Too soon, it was time to pack up and head home. I felt so sad to leave the peaceful farm behind. In the car, I was covered in dirt, sweat, and chlorophyll stains, but I had the biggest smile on myface just thinking about what a fun, memory-filled weekend I had just experienced. Between the art project with Samantha, my big soccer goal, all the cousin adventures, and those deliciouss'mores, it was basically the perfect couple of days. I felt so happy and grateful for my wonderful family and friends as we drove home. I couldn't wait to wake up and do it all over again next weekend!篇3Last Weekend's AdventuresLast weekend was so much fun! I had been looking forward to it all week long. On Friday after school, I raced home, dropped my backpack, and begged Mom to take me to the park. The weather was beautiful - sunny and warm with just a light breeze. Perfect park weather!Mom agreed, so we hopped in the car and drove to Jackson Park near our house. As soon as we arrived, I sprinted over to the playground area. The swings were calling my name! I pumped my little legs back and forth, trying to soar higher and higher into the sky. Up and down, up and down I went, the chains rattling with each swing. After getting my fill of the swings, I decided to try the monkey bars. Gripping the first rung tightly, I stretched my body out and reached for the next bar. Slowly but surely, I made my way across the whole set without falling! Mom cheered for me when I dropped down on the other side. I felt like such a big kid.Next up was the slide. I climbed up the ladder steps, then zoomed down the twisty slide on my belly. The metal was hot from the sun's rays, but it didn't bother me one bit. I just kept going down and climbing back up over and over again. A couple other kids were there too, so we took turns.Eventually, I worked up quite a sweat from all that playing. My throat felt dry as a desert. "Mom, I'm thirsty!" I called out. She handed me a juice box from her bag and I plopped down on a bench to take a break. The sweet apple taste was so refreshing. After resting for a bit, I noticed some kids kicking a soccer ball around in the grassy field area. "Can I go play too?" I asked Mom. She said it was ok as long as I was careful. I ran over and the kids welcomed me into their game. We dribbled and passed and took shots on goal, laughing and having a blast. My team won 4-2!As the sun started to get lower in the sky, Mom said it was time to head home for dinner. I was exhausted from runningaround all evening, but felt so happy. Playing outside is the best! On the ride home, I dozed off with a smile on my face. The next morning, I woke up bright and early feeling refreshed. After getting dressed, I wandered into the kitchen where Dad was making pancakes. The sweet maple smells wafted through the air, making my mouth water. Once they were ready, we drenched the fluffy pancakes in syrup and dug in. They tasted like little clouds of happiness! After cleaning up the sticky breakfast mess, Dad suggested we work on the backyard garden together. I was excited because I loved getting my hands dirty playing in the soil. We headed outside and got to work pulling weeds, watering the plants, and planting some new vegetables seeds. Dad taught me which sprouts were good plants and which were just weeds. He showed me the proper way to pat down the soil over the newly planted seeds.Gardening was tiring work though. Eventually, we took a break to get a cool drink of lemonade that Mom had made for us. As I sipped on the tart, refreshing beverage, I noticed some birds splashing around in the little birdbath in the corner of the yard. After finishing my lemonade, I wandered over and watched them playing and fluttering about. Nature is amazing!Later that afternoon, my friend Daniel came over to play for a couple of hours. First, we kicked a ball around in the backyard for a while, pretending we were famous soccer stars. Daniel is really good and can bend the ball in crazy ways. After we got bored with that, we headed inside to build an epic fort out of bedsheets and couch cushions. We made tunnels and caves, filling the hideout with all our favorite stuffed animals and action figures. We pretended we were explorers discovering new lands!Soon, Daniel had to go home for dinner, so we said goodbye. As he left, I felt a little sad that our adventure was over. But then Mom reminded me we were going to have a fun family game night after dinner! My sadness quickly turned to excitement.Once we finished eating, it was game time. We cleared off the dining room table and set up the old Monopoly board. Dad was the race car, I was the hat, and Mom was the wheelbarrow. We traded properties, build houses, and moved around the board for almost two hours. It was neck and neck the whole time! Eventually though, Dad ran out of money and had to retire from the game bankrupt. It came down to just Mom and me in an epic final battle. In the end, I managed to charge her enough rent to drain her funds and I won! We all had a great time though. Finally, it was time for bed after such an activity-filled weekend. I snuggled under my covers, feeling content and drowsy. As I drifted off to sleep, I thought about what a perfect couple of days it had been. I made so many wonderful memories playing outside, working in the garden, hanging out with friends, and bonding with my family. Weekends are the absolute best!。
