商务信函、合同、法律文书、通知等主要是公文体形式。
词汇：以书面词为主，正式严谨。
句式：多使用长句、复合句，以及插入语、同位语、倒装句、被动语态等特殊句型
广告文体集经济、文化、宣传、美学为一体，灵活多样
词汇：大量使用形容词及其比较级、最高级，大胆借用杜撰词语
句式：多用简单句和现在时态

基本要求：大量使用书面语，正式性词语。一般用词义相对单一的词来替代词义灵活丰富

原文中“the soaring euro and the tumbling dollar”短语中使用了-ing形式，译文2用“一直飙涨” 和“不断下挫”将原文中的语法意义表达出来，比较 准确地再现了原文信息。
商务翻译原则
语言以简洁为贵，商务英语翻译尤为如此。在商 界，时间就是金钱。简洁的语言可以促成高效的交际 和业务往来。
译文1：这家经营有困难的寿险公司，将从金融机 构寻求现金增资1亿美元，作为计划提升财务状况 的一部分。
商务翻译原则
译文2： 作为提升财务状况的一部分，这家在竞争中求
生存的寿险公司，将从金融机构寻求约1亿美元的 资本注入。
译文2 更符合汉语表达，也很充分地传达了原 文的意义。

明晰是指译文表达必须得体到位，让读者一目 了然。 例句6 原文：
译文1： 寻求于更短时间内推出更具有竞争力产品和服务
的驱使之下，我们持续进行重要的投资。
商务翻译原则
译文2： 由于一心想着要提供周期更短、竞争力更强的
产品和服务，我们就不断进行各种基础的投资。
译文1在表达上缺乏灵活性，将“drive”一词 机械地译为“驱使”；将“continue to make essential investments”译成“持续进行重要的 投资”，也很僵硬呆板。
商务翻译原则
比较： 1. Chinese cabbage/chestnut：
大白菜/栗子（而非中国的卷心菜/中国的坚果） 2. China duck：
鸳鸯（而非北京鸭） 3. 土地出让合同：
contract of land to transfer/let（而非contract of land for sale土地出售）
简洁也是商务从业人员素质、公司形象、办事效 率的具体体现。在商务翻译中不求辞藻华丽，但求语 言朴实精炼。
