be born 意为"出生",后面加介词短语"in 1895". 这实际上是被动语态,结构为 "be+动词的过去分词"表示"主语被...."在句中,人是被生出的,因此用被动态, born原形是bear,意为产生、生育。
3. start doing sth. Start to do sth. Begin to do sth 都能够表示开始做某事。
start意为"开始"后接名词,动名词或动词不定式。
eg: The old men started singing / to sing.
老人们开始唱歌。
They started the party with dancing.
他们以跳舞来开始那个晚会。
另外,start还有"开动、发动、创办、动身"等词义。
eg: My father couldn't start the car.
我父亲起动不了那车。
start与begin同义,差不多上"开始",但在表示"开动、发动、创办、动身"等词意讲时,start不能用begin.
4. too...to... 太...而不能
eg:

五.语法知识
专门疑咨询句是就句中的某一部分提咨询的疑咨询句。
它的句首用疑咨询词,句尾的声调下降。
它与一样疑咨询句的区不在于:它不能用yes 或no来回答。
常用的疑咨询代词有what, which, who, whom, whose,疑咨询副词有when, where, why和how等。
例如:What's this in English﹖
What color is it﹖
How much are these pants﹖
When is your birthday﹖
专门疑咨询句的构成可分两类:
1.当疑咨询代词做主语或修饰主语时,它的语序和陈述句相同。
例如:
Who are in the classroom﹖
Who is your English teacher﹖
What's your favorite color﹖
2.当疑咨询代词作表语、宾语或修饰表语和宾语,或疑咨询副词作状语或修饰状语时,它要用倒装词序。
有一点需要讲明的是:当疑咨询代词或疑咨询副词修饰的名词是介词的宾语时,除正式语体外通常要把介词放在句尾。
例如:
