Name
数词分为基数词和序数词两种。
1．最基本的基数词
1 one, 10 ten, 20 twenty, 30 thirty, 40 forty, 50 fifty, 60sixty, 70 seventy, 80 eighty, 90 ninety, 100 a hundred, 1,000 a thousand, 1,000,000 a million, 1,000,000,000 a billion
2. 在百位和十位之间，要用“and ”. 例如：1324 one thousand three hundred and forty- two.
3. hundred, thousand, million, dozen, score 前面如有表示具体数字的词，它们前不能加“s ”, 反之则必须加“s ”. 例如：thousands of five thousand first ，second ，third ，fourth ，fifth ，sixth ，seventh ，eighth ，ninth ，tenth ，eleventh ，twelfth ，thirteenth ，nineteenth ，twentieth ，fortieth ，fifty-first ，eighty-third ，ninety-fourth 2．十位整数的序数词的构成方法是，是将十位数整数基数词的词尾-y 变成i 再加-eth.

序数词：first, second, third, fifth, fifty, eighth, twelfth, fortieth, eightieth.

2.用来表示年份（先读一位数或两位数，再读后两位数）
如：1998 nineteen ninety-eight
3.表示时刻，如：6：30 six thirty,时刻既可直接照表上数字，也可按如下方法读：
分钟≤30：分钟＋past＋点钟如：9:05, five past nine或nine five
分钟＞30：60－分钟＋to＋点钟（＋1）如：4:35读作twenty-five to five或four thirty-five
一刻钟用：a quarter, 5:15 a quarter past five，或five thirty
半用：half 5:30 half past five，或five thirty
4.“万”读做“ten thousand”，如：12000 “twelve thousand”
“十亿”读做“billion”，如：1000,000,000 “one billion”
序数词:
1.“日”通常按序数词读出，前面用the；
2.表示分数时，分子用基数词，分母用序数词。当分子大于1时，分母的序数词后加s。
例如：1/2 a half (one half)，2/3 two thirds，3/4 three fourths (three quarters)
注：
序数词前面要加定冠词。如：the first, the second largest river
表示一次用“once”，表示二次用“twice”，三次以上用：“基数词＋times”
