Unit8 Have you read Treasure Island yet?

Section A 1a – 2d

教学目标要求

1.能够尝试使用现在完成时态来谈论最近发生的事件和经历,如:

— Have you read Little Women yet?

— Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t.

— Has Tina read Treasure Island yet?

— No, she hasn’t finished reading it yet. 等。

2.能够正确使用含有yet, already的句子来谈论最近发生的事件和经历,如:Have you read

Little Women yet? I’ve already finished reading it. I haven’t finished reading

it yet. 等。

3.通过听力和对话练习,了解一些经典的英语文学作品,如:Alice in Wonderland, Little

Women, Treasure Island, Oliver Twist, Robinson Crusoe, Tom Sawyer 等。

4.能够尝试使用现在完成时来谈论一些经典的英语文学作品,并做简单的评价,如:It’s

fantastic. It looks interesting. 等。

5.能认读并能工整书写所学单词,如:treasure, island等。

6.能够正确使用有关常用表达,如:full of 等。

7.能模仿录音正确朗读和表演教材上的对话并能模仿目标语的结构和语调进行初步表达(会话)。如:

A: Have you read Little Women? B: Yes, I have. A: What’s it about? : It’s

about four sisters growing up. / It’s about a boy who lives in the United Kingdom.

教学过程

Step 1 Leading-in。

教师通过与学生谈论业余爱好引出reading这一话题:

T: What is your hobby?

S: …

T: Do you like reading? What kind of books do you like? 1.T: Well, I know you have good hobbies. Do you know what my hobby is? Yes, I like

reading. I’m reading the following books these days.

2.T: Have you heard of these books? (出示四大经典名著的有关图片)

Present the sentences like this“I read them in junior school. I have already read

them for many years.”

Step2 Presentation

1. First, Show the pictures of the six books in 1a; ask students Have you heard

of these books yet?

2. Then, introduce the six books to the students; get them to know the general

introduction of the books.

3. Next, ask students like this :

(1).Do you know the main characters of these books?

(2).Which book titles tell us the main characters?

(3).Which book do you like best? Why?

4. Finally,ask and answer,present the target language.

---Have you read Treasure Island yet?

---Yes, I have.I’ve already read it.

----No, I haven’t.I haven’t read it yet.

Step3 Practice

1.Try to match the book titles with the pictures.

2. Listening activity

Listen and complete the chart.

3.Pair work

Practice the conversation. Then talk about the other books.

e.g.

A: Have you read …... yet?

B: No, I haven't. Have you? / What about you?

A: Well, I’ve already read it. I have =I’ve she has = she’s

have not = haven’t has not= hasn’t B: What do you think of it?/ What’s it like?

A: It’s …… .

Some useful information: fantastic, wonderful, interesting, boring, terrible,

exciting, educational, etc

4. Listening activity

Listen. Who has read these books? Circle the names.

Listen again and write T for true and F for false.

Step 4 Improvement

1. Pair work: Talk about some books in the third person.

A: Has Tina read … ?

B: Yes, she has. She thinks it’s ….

A: What’s it about?

B: It’s about…

A: oh, I’ve just finished reading …, it’s ….

2. Group work

Make a survey and give a report.

name What have you read/watched? What do you think of it? What’s it about?

Give a report like this:

… has read/watched …, it’s about…, He/She thinks it’s …. I have

read …… .
