vocabulary is the most important thing for English learning
From my perspective ,I think that vocabulary is the most important thing for English learning .And vocabulary is the most difficult thing when I want to communicate with others in English.
First of all,it’s known to all that vocabulary is the smallest element of language.So learners can’t ignore it because of its importance.And,learners who want to learn a new language must study vocabulaty harder to ensure that they can grasp the language as soon as possible.There is an old saying that vocabulary is a cornerstone of English learning as well as a ladder.
Secondly, "no matter children or adults, in language acquisition, the first important thing is listening comprehension",Krashen once said.And listening to is main way to obtain information and language feeling,and also is one of the important ways to improve other skills.Thus,how to improve the listening become a tough problem.However,there is a survey signs that lacking of vocabulary is the critical reason for the issue.It is because vocabulary is the basic construction of language materials. Master a certain amount of vocabulary is a good way to obtain the language knowledge and improve the essential skills of communciation.And also is the transmittion of language.For example,The student是who learn vocabulary better are more likely to be the one是who have good listening comprehension.Therefore,we can conclude that
vocabulary is of vital importance to listening comprehension.
Thirdly,vocabulary also plays important role in the spoken language.we all know that whatever language we may learn,superior communication is the ultimate purpose.Spoken language is the platform of communication, in order to express your thoughts and ideas clearly and more and more vivid ,we must learn more vocabulary.In addition,,a huge amount of vocabulary makes our oral expression more vivid which can makes listeners have a more profound impression and a better understanding .By knowing about more vocabulary,we can make our talk more convenient and easily.
Fourth,in addition,vocabulary also plays an important part in reading comprehension.And the people who are rich in vocabulary will meet less unfamiliar words when reading and therefore the reading barrier will be effectively avoided.For example,when studendts are practice doing reading comprehension ,they may misunderstand the meaning of the words so that it may lead them to write the wrong answer to the question and lower the correct overall.So it’s necessary for learners to master the guessing the skill to improve reading comprehension ability.Guessing meaning is mainly according to the context of logical guessing,so much knowledge of vocabulaty could benefit students to guess the meaning of the unfamiliar words.There is no doubt that the key to solve the new words depends on vocabulary, in other words, enhancing learners'
vocabulary which are used in the actual learning.
As for communicating with others,I think the most difficult thing is vocabulary.For instance,sometimes I want to share my thoughts with my partners in English to practice my oral English.But there are some words which I don’t know how to express in English.So that I would find another similar words to replace them and in that way my parenter may has difficulty in understanding my thoughts.Thus,it makes our Conversation unconvenient and unprosperous.So I think that vocabulary is much more important for me.What’s more,grasping more words makes it comfortable and relaxed to make conversations.。
