北外英语口笔译考研初试汉语写作与百科知识复习资料名词解释靖国神社：（the Yasukuni war shrine）靖国神社是位于日本东京都的一座神社。

该神社供奉自明治维新以来为日本军国侵略主义战死的军人及军属，其中绝大多数是在中日战争及太平洋战争中阵亡的日军官兵及殖民地募集兵。

由于靖国的祭祀对象包括了14名甲级战犯，使得该神社被东亚各国视为日本军国主义的象征而备具争议性。

京都议定书：1997年在日本京都召开的《气候框架公约》第三次缔约方大会上通过的国际性公约，为各国的二氧化碳排放量规定了标准。

其目标是“将大气中的温室气体含量稳定在一个适当的水平，进而防止剧烈的气候改变对人类造成伤害”基因突变：是指基因组DNA分子发生的突然的可遗传的变异。

基因虽然十分稳定，能在细胞分裂时精确地复制自己，但这种隐定性是相对的。

在一定的条件下基因也可以从原来的存在形式突然改变成另一种新的存在形式，于是后代的表现中也就突然地出现祖先从未有的新性状。

基因工程（genetic engineering）又称DNA重组技术，是以分子遗传学为理论基础，以分子生物学和微生物学的现代方法为手段，将不同来源的基因按预先设计的蓝图，在体外构建杂种DNA分子，然后导入活细胞，以改变生物原有的遗传特性、获得新品种、生产新产品。

基因工程技术为基因的结构和功能的研究提供了有力的手段。

“金砖四国”来源于英文BRICs一词，是指巴西（Brazil）、俄罗斯（Russia）、印度（India）和中国（China）四国，因这四个国家的英文名称首字母组合而成的“BRICs”一词，其发音与英文中的“砖块”(bricks)一词非常相似，故被称为“金砖四国”。

焦土政策（scorched-earth policy）：是一种军事战略（military tactic）。

此战略包括当敌人进入或撤出某处时破坏任何可能对敌人有用的东西。

这个战术辞汇在现代使用上并不限于使敌人食物缺乏，还可以包括破坏遮蔽所、交通运输、通讯与工业资源。
