Today my teaching topic is unit 9 Do you want to go to a movie? Section A.(Writing)In this class, I’ll divide my teaching plan into 8 parts. They are teaching material, teaching aims, key and difficult points, analysis of students ,teaching and learning methods, teaching aids, teaching procedure and blackboard design.Now, I’ll introduce them one by one. Please follow me into the first part.Teaching material. In this part I’ll mainly talk about the status and funtion of the teaching material. Go for It is a series of textbooks compiled for junior middle school students. The central idea of it is to challenge students to gain communicative competence in the study of the culture of this language.The topic of this unit is movies. The functions are to talk about preferences and make plans. In section A we learn to talk about our own hobbies and inquire about others’hobbies.Knowing something about the material, let’s come to the next part--- Teaching aims. I divide the objectives into knowledge aims, ability aims and emotion aims.First, knowledge aims. Basically, in this unit, students should try their best to master some new words, useful expressions ,structures and grammar. The new words are:action movie,comedy and so on. The expressions are: go to a movie,Beijing Opera. The structure are: Do you want to go to a movie?and so on.And the grammar is the plural forms of nouns. (Writing)Second,ability aims. To some extent, students will make progress in listening, speaking, reading and writing in class.,especially listening and speaking.Next, emotion aims. According to the new standard of English curriculum, moral education plays an important role in language teaching. In this unit, by talking about preferences , students can learn how to communicate and work with others and how to learn form and care about partners . Then they will succeed in keeping a good social relationship.That’s it for aims. Let’s move on to the next part: key and difficult points. The key points of this unit are some new words, expressions and structures, as listed on the screen. They are the key points students should pay more attention to. As for the difficult point, the ss should remember the plural forms of nouns-the chang from y to ies. This arrangement is decided by the functions of this unit.Next is Students analysis. Having a clear idea about the textbook is far from adequate to make a good class. We should definitely know something about the main body of our class----- the students. Most of them are aged 13 . They are active,talkative and creative with strong abilities of memorizing, imitating and performing. So I’ll provide them with real contexts, various tasks and challenging activities.Next is Teaching and learning methods.As far as Teaching methods is concerned, task-based teaching method is to be adopted. Various tasks will be designed for the students to master appropriate functional patterns. Besides, I will use audio-lingual teaching method. Various contexts will be set vividly. As for learning methods,I will use cooperative learning and autonomous learning. S tudents’ lea rning enthusiasm and cooperative spirit will be fully motivated.Next let’s talk about Teaching aids. To stimulate the students senses effectively, I will make use of multimedia to assist my class. Besides, some posters will also be helpful. This will help to enhance the communication between teacher and students.We’ve finally come to the most important part of my teaching plan----Teaching procedure. It is made up of 6 parts. They are greeting and warming---up, presentation, practice, consolidation,summary and homework.Now, time to talk about the first step:Greeting and warming---up .At the beginning of the class, I’ll greet students :Good moring, boys and girls.After it,I’ll present them a short movie-Mr Bean. This is a movie that students are very interested in. Ok! Enjoy it!(Show the movie)The time is limited,so we stop it here.Then I ‘ll ask students like this: Boys and girls!Who is the man in the movie? …Do you like him?Do you like the movie? …I like the movie ,too! I want to go to a movie.Do you want to go to a movie? This step will help students transfer to the new content naturally.Now let’s come to the next step PresentationI’ll display several pictures and the radio to introduce the new words:comedy ,thriller,action movie, ,documentary, cartoon,and Beijing Opera . This will help students to learn the words easily.After learning the new words, I’ll teach them the important grammar in this unit :the plural forms of nouns.. Beacause students have learnt a little befort ,I ‘ll make the change form y to ies the point .Then I’ll let students change the new words into the plural forms. Then check them with mine.Next the key patterns:Do you want to go to a movie?and so on.Step 3 is PracticeNow we’ll play a guessing game:What kind of movie is it?. Students look at the picture quickly and guess what kind of movie it is at once.Then we’ll Cllage(拼贴)and guess what kind of movie it is.In this practice,I’ll divide each poster into 9 parts and the students into four groups,Then they will compete with each other :which group is able to finish it first.This two steps will help students remember new words with a joyful mood.Next is pairwork. Students will use the key patterns to make up dialogues.Then I’ll choose severl pairs to act the dialogue out in class.. Here more chances are offered for them to practice the language points by speaking and performing.In addition to speaking, we’ll have listening practice. First,we’ll turn to the book and look at page 54 ,2b listen again .Well listen !(Listen to the radio)Then we’ll check the answer .Here comes the ConsolidationIt is the stage of survey . Ss should find the four ss in each group who like the kinds of movies on the table below.
