An Interesting Lesson
Last week, we had a special English lesson. It was really interesting and unforgettable.
Our teacher asked us to make our own snacks in advance, introduce them in English and share the snacks with friends in class. I made some pieces of sushi by myself. To make them nice to eat, I put some salmon inside and made XO sauce all around them. To make them more beautiful, I even put some fruits next to sushi. To my joy, my sushi was popular and considered to be delicious. It ranked high and got the second prize as a result. The lesson was really interesting and unforgettable because it offered us a chance to make our own snacks and strengthen friendship among classmates besides improving our English.

How to be a Good Student
If you want to be a good student, first, you must be interested in your subjects because interest is the first teacher. With interest, you will study willingly without being pushed. In addition, a good student must have good habits,that is, listening carefully in class, going over lessons after class and asking questions if he has anything unknown instead of pretending to know it. Last but not least, a good student should respect teachers and get on well with classmates. A student only with these advantages can be regarded as a good one.
Reading
I hold the belief that reading is an indispensable part of our life. Undoubtedly,reading can broaden our mind, widen our sight as well as enrich our knowledge. My favourite subject
I am required to study many subjects and among them I like history best because it is not only interesting but also enlightening.
History tells us students stories. In the meantime, it helps us to tell right from wrong. What’s more,through history study, I can draw lessons and avoid repetition of the same mistakes.
Besides, through history study, I get to know life is not always smooth and that failure is part of life. Only when one has learned history can he hold a correct attitude towards life.
My valuable present
My favourite present is a book called Jane Eyre. It was given to me by my aunt on my thirteenth birthday. The book is attractive. It describes a girl named Jane. She was strong and independent. She lived a hard life but she loved life very much. I have read the book twice. The book gives me courage especially when I am in difficulty. The spirit I have learned from her always cheers me up when I am in a bad mood.
My dream
I would like to be a teacher when I grow up because I love children. To teach and play with them is my happiness. Of course, being a teacher is no easy job. It needs many qualities such as love, patience and knowledge. Without love, I can hardly get on well with them. Without patience, students will not ask me questions even if they have. Without enough knowledge, students will doubt my ability. So I must study hard to develop my overall abilities. I am sure that my efforts will pay off.
Great changes in Shanghai
There have been great changes in Shanghai in the past ten years. The small houses have been replaced by big new ones.What’s more, narrow streets have been broadened, dirty rivers have become clean and trees on both sides have been planted, which add beauty to our city. Five bridges have been built over the Huangpu River, which not only bring convenience to residents but also make our city look modern. I am proud of all these changes and I am sure Shanghai will have a brighter future.
My summer holiday plan
The summer holiday is coming. In order to make my holiday pleasant and meaningful, I have made a reasonable plan. First, I will buy some new books in the bookstore to enrich my spiritual life.Secondly, I will take this chance to visit some places of interest to broaden my eyes and enjoy the beauty of nature. The best gift I’ve received
This is my bicycle which is the best gift I’ve received. And it was from my father.
My bicycle is blue and white. When I ride it, it just looks like a thunder flash in the sky. More importantly, it has its special meaning to me. When I am disappointed or angry, I will ride my bicycle instead of locking myself alone in a room because when I ride it fast, all the bad feelings will be left behind so that I can face other difficulties in mu life with a good mood.
