Step 1 热身/复习（Warm-up/ Revision）

1． Greetings.

这个句型的复习为对话的导入做铺垫。

2． Game：Look and say

教师利用课件呈现4幅学生熟悉的公众人物图片，要求他们观察并根据教师对人物的英文描述，回答：Who is he / she？

T：She is beautiful. She has big eyes. Who is she？

Ss : She is Zhao Wei.

T：He is a popular singer. He has small eyes. Who is he？

Ss : He is Zhou Jielun.

T：He is a famous basketball player. He is very tall. Who is he？

Ss : He is Yao Ming.

T：He is a great leader of China. He is short but great. Who is he？

Ss : He is Deng Xiaoping.

Step 2 新课呈现（Presentation）

1.New words

( 1)Listen to the tape of Part B and repeat.

（2）运用“直观教学法”教授新单词,让学生学习体验生活中的英语。

教授：tall and short，根据学生身高状况新授“…is tall”,“…is short”

板书: tall,short ; 学生书空。

教授：long and short，根据实物或图片描述铅笔长短。

2.The dialogue

（1）根据对话回答问题

T: Peter and Lingling are talking about their new teacher. Do you want to know

what she looks like? OK,let’s listen to the tape.(关上书听对话，训练学生的听力。)

Question: Is the new English teacher beautiful?（带着简单的问题听录音，能提高学生的注意力，培养学生有目的地听的好习惯。）

就对话中的三个人物“怎样猜”“怎样想”“怎样说”提问,让学生在语境中理解guess/ think的意思,在回答问题中初步熟悉课文.教师要引导和帮助学生回答:

She has long hair. She has a round face and big eyes.

She is short. She has short hair and small eyes.

She is not tall. She has short hair .

(2) Role –play

分角色朗读对话，让学生熟悉对话，习得语感。

Step 3 角色表演（Act and play）

1. 仿照A部分的内容，让学生分组操练对话，每组4人，可以安排两名学生介绍新老师，另外两名学生分别发表自己关于老师相貌的猜想。操练时间应不少于3分钟。

2. Let’s read

Pre-reading

教师用课件呈现自己笔友的照片和来信，介绍pen friend 。

T：Nancy wants to make a pen friend. This letter is from Nancy to her friend.

教师用课件将写的信通过电子邮件发送出去并介绍：“The pen friend (Jane)has

got the letter.”课件呈现笔友收到了信，很喜悦，阅读了信的内容并动笔写回信。教师：“This letter is from Jane to Nancy.”

第一遍阅读后，做简单判断题，旨在引导学生练习跳读，快速发现关键信息，对于学生初步感知文体结构和梗概大意很有帮助。

（2）Complete the chant

运用查读法进行第二遍仔细阅读，获取信息。然后与同学交流确定答案，自主填空。培养学生的合作学习能力。核对答案。

（3）Fill in the blanks.

一、教材分析

本册教材遵循话题—功能—结构—任务编写原则。采用循环式的编写方法，较好地体现了“由浅入深、由易到难、循序渐进、逐步扩展、点面结合、不断复现”的原则。教材前半部分由六个教学单元和一个评价单元组成。内容包含关于表达个人喜好、询问、借东西、购物、选择的话题。

二、 学生分析

我们知道，小学三、四年级的学生学习英语主要是以培养学习兴趣以及良好的学习习惯为主。通过两年的学习，基本上要求学会七百多个词汇，其中四会单词500多个，三会单词200多个，初步掌握将100句左右句型；掌握初步的单词读音规则及有关衣物、国籍、交通工具、颜色、家庭关系、时间、运动等话题。但实际上，很多学生在认读、拼写单词等方面还较欠缺，学习效果及积极性开始出现两极分化。

进入五年级的英语学习，教材的一个最大的区别就是：出现了一些与日常生活较为密切难度系数为75--80%的故事、幽默、科普小文等。学生在掌握了一定的单词量的基础上，会为自己能读懂这些英语短文而感到非常兴奋。我们应充分利用这一优势，引导、培养学生进行大量的阅读。因此，培养学生良好的学习习惯：预习（自己找出并扫除阅读中的单词、句法等障碍，了解文章大意。）、做学习笔记、复习等，另外，应关注学生英语书面表达等笔头训练。
