Task1 Talk about a time when a friend or family member helped you in the past. Describe how the person helped you. Then explain why this was important to you. Task2 Some people enjoy taking risks and trying new things. Others are not adventurous: they are cautious and prefer to avoid danger. Which behavior do you think is better? Explain why.
TASK 6
The professor talked about a mechanism used by helpless people feeling psychological pain. This method is called defense mechanism. To illustrate the theory, the professor provides an example of a woman who lost her dog raised for many years. After the woman lost the dog, she searched everywhere and could not find it. She must feel quite painful in her heart and in this situation, she might unconsciously came up with the defense mechanism in her mind. One of the defense could be fantasy. She probably would imagine that her dog was found by a nice family and fed well. Another way of defense would be sublimation（升华）. She may turn her sad （升华） feelings into useful practice, such as starting a dog training center to help other families to prevent dogs from running away again.

TASK 3
The university is now planning to send all the students emails with all the daily activities everyday so that students can receive event information up to date. The girl agrees with the plan greatly. For the main reason, the local newspaper is published weekly and people who read the newspaper on Monday will probably forget the event held on Wednesday or Friday. The mails will be a good reminder of the activities. Another good aspect of the emails is that when an activity is cancelled for some reasons in the last minute, the email will have you informed and prevent you from showing up with no one at the entrance. Besides, everyone will check emails at least once a day so there is no need to worry students can not see the mails.

Questioning awareness of effect is a method when a child disrupts the class, the teacher can ask him a question without having the answer. In this way, the disruptive action of the child can be stopped. The professor in the lecture gives us an example of his own experience when he teaches a class of 8 years' old children. He sets a rule of raising hands before allowed to answer questions. But there is a girl called Sarah who doesn't obey the rule and she will directly call out her answer without raising her hands. So one time, the professor asked Sarah a question after she called out again: Sarah, do you know it is unfair to other people when you just call out your answer? This method works and next time when the professor asks a question, Sarah raises her hands and never disrupt the class again.

Task4 Revealing Coloration
Many animals use coloration to protect themselves from predators. One defensive strategy involving the use of coloration is what is known as reveling coloration. Animals employing this strategy have an area of bright color on some part of their body; this bright color is usually hidden from predators’ view. When approached by a predator, the animal suddenly reveals the area of bright color; this unexpected display of color startles or confuses the predator and provides the would-be prey with an opportunity to escape. Using the examples from the peanut bug and the morpho butterfly, explain the concept of revealing coloration.
