教学目标 To master the use of Simple present tense of the verb to be.

教学重点 To be able to master the different sentence patterns of “be”

教学难点 To be able to use the important and difficult language points correctly.

Teaching steps:

Step1 Lead-in

Step2 Presentation

1) Present the title

2) Present the study aims to students.

3) Ask students to read the study aims together.

Step3 Self-learning:

Read and learn

He______(be)from Nanjing.

Lee_______(be)my friend.

My hair______(be)long.

一般现在时用来表示目前的状态、经常发生的动作和客观事实。

Step4 Presentation

主语可以是人称代词,也可以是名词,但be动词的选择要与主语相一致。

如果主语是代词,动词be与前面主语在一起时,在非正式行文中可以缩写。

e.g.I am = I’m You are = You’re

She is = She’s He is = He’s

It is = It’s We are = We’re

They are = They’re

Finish off the exercises of part A&B on page 12

Step6 Summary

This class we have learnt how to use Simple present tense and verb “to

be” , I hope you can do more exercises to consolidate after class.

1. Review next period.

2. Finish the relative exercises!
