1 Lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch?
Teaching Aims and demands:
1．Review the usage of Special Question.
2．Master the usage of present continuous , and the word ―what‖.
3．Grasp the following words and phrases:until, outside, ring, aunt, repeat, get
up , stay, look out of, what a day, just then, by train, have breakfast,dear me.
4.Learn a kind of word formation by adding affix —affixation
5. Practice oral English with the topic ―A great breakfast I have at primary
school/university‖.

lose, loose与miss
(1)lose通常为及物动词，可以表⽰"失去"、"丧失"、"遗失"、"丢失"等含义：
Roy has lost his job again. 罗伊⼜失业了。
Try not to lose your ticket. 别丢了你的票。
A large sum of money has been lost. 有⼀⼤笔钱丢失了。
She lost her parents when she was sixteen. 她16岁时便失去了双亲。
(2)loose虽然词形与lose⽐较相似，意义与⽤法却有很⼤区别。它主要作形容词，表⽰"松的"、"松动的"、"松开的"：
The handle of this suitcase is very/ has come loose. 这个⼿提箱的把⼿⾮常松/松了。
(3)miss通常作及物动词，可以表⽰"错过"、"未能……"、"缺(课等)"、"惦念"、"想念"等多种含义：
Hurry or you'll miss the train. 动作快点，否则你要赶不上⽕车了。
I missed my English lesson. 我英语课缺课了。
The Turners left the district last year and we really miss them. 特纳⼀家去年离开了这个地区，我们真的很想念他们。
expect与wait for
(1)expect可以表⽰"预计……可能发⽣(或来到)"、"等待"、"期盼"等。它表⽰等待时往往侧重⼈的⼼理⽽不是具体在某个地⽅等：
1Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I
did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were
talking loudly. I got very angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the
man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the end, I could not bear it.
I turned round again. „I can't hear a word!‟ I said angrily.
„It's none of your business, ‟ the young man said rudely. „This is a private conversation!‟
2It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime.
Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. „What a
day!‟ I thought. „It's raining again. ‟ Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. „I've
just arrived by train, ‟ she said. „I'm coming to see you. ‟

Tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved
up for years to buy a real bed. For the first time in his
life, he became the proud owner of a bed which had springs
and a mattress. Because the weather was very hot, he carried
