Please draw a well in front of my house.

四、Teaching course:
Step 1. Warm-up
Get the students to play a game. Tell them to listen and act it out.
Say: Show me your hands. Please listen and do.
Put them on the desk! Put them in the desk!
Put them above the desk! Put them behind the desk!
Put them in front of the desk! Etc.
Step 2. Let’s read and write
1. Draw the children’s attention to the pictures in the students’ book.
2.Tell the students: We are going to listen to a story about Ma Liang (explain it in
Chinese if necessary). Please listen carefully and then answer my questions.
3.Play the tape for the students to listen. Play it twice if necessary.
Ask some questions:
Who is Ma Liang? What does he like?
Where does he draw? What is he very happy one night? What does he use the brush to do?
Ask some students to answer the questions.
4.Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.
5.Divide the class into groups. Get them to practise.
6.Get some groups to act out in front of the class.
Step 3. Let’s practice
1.Ask individuals: Do you like drawing?
2.Tell all the students: Look at the pictures. What is each person asking Ma Liang to
draw? Use these words to help you: in front of, for, on, in, over.
3.Move around the class offering praise and encouragement. Help some students if
they are in trouble.
Step 4. Let’s have fun
1.Tell the students: let’s play a game. Please do the same as I do.
The teacher will do some actions such as sit up tall, throw a ball, jump up in the air, sit
down on a chair. Get the students to do the same.
2.Play the chant for the students to listen and repeat.
3.Divide the class into groups. Get them to practise the chant.
4.Get them to chant and act.
