一、 教材分析

本单元是新目标八年级下册的第七单元（Unit7 What’s the highest

mountain in the world？），主题是了解中国以及世界地理知识，Section B在Section A的基础上，通过自然和文化的比较过渡到了动物之一话题。2a-2e是一个阅读内容---以大熊猫为主题的一篇报道，让学生理解熊猫的习性和濒临灭绝的原因，并呼吁学生保护珍稀动物。

二、教学目标

1、知识目标：学生学习掌握词汇和词组bamboo， research，keeper，awake，excitement，walk into，fall over， illness，remaining，wild，government，endangered等。

2、能力目标：本节课我着重培养学生读的能力：速读，浏览，精读和任务型阅读能力，还包括语言表达能力，合作能力，沟通能力等。

3、情感目标：通过了解大熊猫的生存状态，唤起学生的爱心，进而意识到保护野生动物和保护生态环境是每个人的责任。

4、学习策略：本节课主要通过大量的小组活动，让学生理解文章大意。通过归纳总结和练习的方式，进一步提高学生听说读写综合素质能力。

三、教学重难点 1、教学重点：掌握本节课词汇和词组

2、教学难点：总结文章大意，对保护熊猫的讨论。

四、教学手段

本课我采用任务型教学法，同时辅助多媒体教学。用音乐，视频，图片使抽象的语言变得直观。

五、教学过程设计

Step 1 Warming up

1、Check the preview(words and sentences).让初步学生了解本课重点的的短语和句子。

2、Free talk: 谈谈动物。 给学生提供一些形容词的最高级和一些动物名称，让他们谈谈动物。例如：

（一）新知探寻：

1. 预习课本，尽可能多的收集关于1a部分四幅图的信息。

2. 从课本中找出并翻译下列短语。

（1）世界上最高的山峰

（2）亚洲最长的河

（3）世界上最大的沙漠 （4）世界上最深的咸水湖

（5）最濒临危险的动物之一 （6）最古老的文明古国之一

（7）新加坡的人口 （8）……的高度

（9）……的长度 （10）……的速度
