1、形容词的比较级，最高级的不同表达句式。
2、学生可以运用不同的阅读策略完成不同的阅读任务，利用思维导图明晰文章谋篇布局并进行复述。
教学方法：
情景教学法、小组合作学习法
设计意图：目标引领，表述了本节课的知识、能力和情感目标。
【学习过程】
Step1. Review 世界之最，播放视频，Lead in 新课。
设计意图：通过大屏幕，展示“珠穆朗玛峰——圣母峰”的视频，吸引了学生的注意力， 为下面的教学做好了铺垫。
Step2. Before reading
学习生词:

一、教学目标
1、知识目标：知识目标：掌握本节课重点单词和句型： achievement，thick，include，condition，succeed，force，nature ,take in，in the face of，even though,

The spirit of these climbers shows us that we should never give up trying
to achieve our dreams.
2、能力目标：在语言输入的同时完成语言输出，在听说读写译中提高语言技能，提高综合运用语言的能力。着重培养学生分析概括能力，语言表达能力，书写能力，合作能力，沟通能力。
3、情感目标：通过了解大熊猫的生存状态，唤起学生的爱心，进而意识到保护野生动物和保护生态环境是每个人的责任。
二、教学重点：1.复习重点短语和句型 2.形容词和副词的比较等级的用法
三、教学难点： 形容词和副词的比较等级的用法
四、教法与学法：1.精讲精练与自主学习相结合。
2. 本课采用任务型教学法，同时辅助多媒体教学。
五、课前活动准备：把学生按不同层次进行搭配分成六个大组，让学生收集旧牌，并在正面贴上硬的纸片，写上汉语。下发自主复习提纲，学生依据提纲自主复习本单元单词，短语及句子，并背熟。
