6.2 倒译法（变序译法）
有时英语长句的叙述层次与汉语相反。翻译时，应 根拐汉语习惯，改变原文语序，进行翻译．这种译 法为倒译法．又称变序译法。
倒译法常在下列的情况下采用： 主句后面带有很长的状语（特别是原因状语或方 式状语）或状语从句（特别是原因、条件、让步状 语从句）； 或主句后面有很长的定语或定语从。 或宾语从句，按汉语习惯应译在主句之前时。

• Case 2: Translation of complex sentences: When translating complex sentences containing multiple subordinate clauses or long-winded expressions, it is necessary to break them down into simpler sentences or phrases for easier comprehension in the target language. For instance, the sentence "The study, which was conducted by a team of researchers from various disciplines, aimed to investigate the impact of climate change on biodiversity" can be translated as "The study, conducted by a team of researchers from different fields, aimed to assess the impact of climate change on biodiversity."

什么是科技英语？
科技英语（English for Science and Technology，简称EST） 是从事科学技术活动时所使用的英语，是英语的一种变 体(科技文体)。科技英语自70年代以来引起了人们的广 泛关注和研究，目前已发展成为一种重要的英语语体。 本节所讨论的科技英语主要指描述、探讨自然科学各专 业的著作、论文、实验报告，科技实用手段(包括仪器、 仪表、机械、工具等)的结构描述和操作说明等。

4、语篇特点
语篇也就是我们通常所说的篇章，是由一组相 互连贯的句子组成的。语篇的语义结构和语篇 机制，即衔接手段确保了语言由句子组成语篇， 从而形成了一个有机的整体，所以对这一层面 的分析包括了衔接手段和语篇结构。

1. 词汇衔接 词汇的重复出现可以减少语言在传递中产生的歧义，
使读者易于正确地理解作者所要论述的客观事实或复 杂的认识过程，体现了科技英语的准确性。 例：Many stories abort the spread of AIDS are false. You cannot get AIDS working or attending with someone who has the disease. You cannot get it by touching drinking glasses or other objects used by such persons. 2. 逻辑连接 通过逻辑连接手段的运用，读者可以了解句子的语义 联系，甚至可经前句从逻辑上预见后续句的语义，体 现了科技英语的逻辑推理性和严密性。

第三章 名词和冠词的翻译
第1节 名词的译法
英语名词：普通名词、专有名词、集体名词、物 质名词和抽象名词等。
一般来说，物质名词、抽象名词和专有名词为不 可数名词，普通名词和集体名词为可数名词。

二、 科技英语的主要特点 1、语法特点 主要表现在四多，即：
（1）词类转换多 所谓词类转换，即在翻译时将英文的某种词
类译成汉语的另一词类。产生这一现象的根本原因 在于英汉两种语言在表达方式上有很差别，因此在 翻译时，应符合各自的表达习惯。
例句：The operation of a machine needs some knowledge of its performance.
误译：力是任何倾向于产生或阻止运动的推或拉）
（4）复杂长句多
科技文章要求叙述准确，推理严谨。为了表达清楚， 科技英语句子往往较长，有时需认真分析方能明确句子中 各成分之间的关系。
