集装箱的种类和各自用途(一)杂货集装箱杂货集装箱又称干货箱,是一种通用集装箱,适用范围很大,除需制冷、保温的货物与少数特殊货物(如液体、牲畜、植物等)外,只要在尺寸和重量方面适合用集装箱装运的货物(适箱货),均可用杂货集装箱装运。
在结构上,杂货集装箱可分为一端开门、两端开门与侧壁设有侧门三类杂货集装箱的门均有水密性,可270°开启。
目前在国内外运营中的集装箱,大部分属于杂货集装箱。
有的杂货集装箱,其侧壁可以全部打开,属于敞侧式集装箱,主要是便于在铁路运输中进行拆装箱作业。
(二)开顶集装箱这是一种特殊的通用集装箱,除箱顶可以拆下外,其他结构与通用集装箱类似。
开顶集装箱又分“硬顶”和“软顶”两种。
“硬顶”是指顶篷用一整块钢板制成;“软顶”是指顶篷用帆布、塑料布制成,以可拆式扩伸弓梁支撑。
开顶集装箱主要适用于装载大型货物和重型货物,如钢材,木材,玻璃等。
货物可用吊车从箱顶吊入箱内,这样不易损坏货物,可减轻装箱的劳动强度,又便于在箱内把货物固定。
(三)台架式集装箱台架式集装箱的结构种类很多,主要有以下类别:总的来说,台架式集装箱没有箱顶和侧壁,可以用吊车从顶上装货,也可以用叉车从箱侧装货,适合于装载长大件和重件货,如重型机械、钢材、钢管、木材、钢锭、机床及各种设备。
还可以用两个以上的板架集装箱并在一起,组成装货平台,用以装载特大件货物。
还有的板架集装箱,其端壁可以折叠起来,以减少空箱回空时的舱容损失。
台架式集装箱的主要特点:为了保持其纵向强度,箱底较厚,箱底的强度比一般集装箱大,而其内部高度比一般集装箱低。
为了把装载的货物系紧,在下侧梁和角柱上设有系环。
为了防止运输过程中货物坍塌,在集装箱的两侧还设有立柱或栅栏。
台架式集装箱没有水密性,不能装运怕湿的货物。
在陆上运输中或在堆场上贮存时,为了不淋湿货物,应有帆布遮盖。
(四)平台集装箱平台集装箱指无上部结构、只有底部结构的集装箱。
平台集装箱又分为有顶角件和底角件的和只有底角件而没有顶角件的两种。

3. 40英尺高箱（40-foot high cube container）：40英尺高箱是在40英尺集装箱基础上增加了高度的一种变种。

由于其较长的尺寸，45英尺集装箱所需的运输空间也相应增加。

这⾥仅介绍在海上运输中常见的国际货运集装箱类型1.普通标准集装箱(GP: General Purpose Container)⼜称⼲货集装箱(DC: Dry Cargo Container)这种集装箱⼜称为杂货集装箱，这种集⽤来运输⽆需控制温度的件杂货物，如：装箱通常为封闭式，在⼀端或侧⾯设有箱门。
这种集装箱通常⽤来装运⽂化⽤品、化⼯⽤品、电⼦机械、⼯艺品、医药、⽇⽤品、纺织品及仪器零件等。
这是平时最常⽤的集装箱。
不受温度变化影响的各类固体散货、颗粒或粉末状的货物都可以由这种集装箱装运。

三、开顶集装箱(open top container)没有刚性箱顶的集装箱，但有由可折叠式或可折式顶梁支撑的帆布、塑料布或涂塑布制成的顶篷，其他构件与通用集装箱类似。
这种集装箱适于装载大型货物和重货，如钢铁、木材，特别是像玻璃板等易碎的重货，利用吊车从顶部吊入箱内不易损坏，而且也便于在箱内固定。

这种集装箱可以从前后、左右及上方进行装卸作业，适合装载长大件和重货件，如重型机械、钢材、钢管、木材、钢锭等。
台架式的集装箱没有水密性，怕水湿的货物不能装运，或用帆布遮盖装运。
六、牲畜集装箱(pen container)一种装运鸡、鸭、鹅等活家禽和牛、马、羊、猪等活家畜用的集装箱。
为了遮敝太阳，箱顶采用胶合板露盖，侧面和端面都有用铝丝网制成的窗，以求有良好的通风。
侧壁下方设有清扫口和排水口，并配有上下移动的拉门，可把垃圾清扫出去。
还装有喂食口。
