宾语从句

（⼀）宾语从句的种类1. 由that引导的宾语从句。that只有语法作⽤，

没有实在的意义，在⼝语

和⾮正式⽂体中可以省略。例如：He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.

She doesn’t know (that) she is seriously ill.

I am sure (that) he will succeed.

2. 由连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which和

连接副词when, where, why, how引导的宾语从句。

这些连接代词和连接副词在宾语从句中充当某个

成分。例如：Do you know who (whom) they are waiting for?

He asked whose handwriting was the best.

Can you tell me where the No.3 bus stop is?

I don’t know why the train is late.

3. 由if或whether引导的宾语从句。if和whether

在句中的意思是“是否”。例如：I want to know if (whether) he lives there.

He asked me whether (if) I could help him.

（⼆）宾语从句的语序

宾语从句的语序应为陈述语序。例如：I hear (that) physics isn’t easy.

I think (that) you will like this school soon.

Can you tell me how I can get to zoo?

Please tell me when we’ll have the meeting.

（三）宾语从句的时态1. 如果主句的时态是⼀般现在时，宾语从句该⽤

什麽时态就⽤什麽时态。

如：I don’t think (that) you are right.Please tell us where he is.

Can you tell me how I can get to the railway station?

2. 如果主句的时态是⼀般过去时，宾语从句只能⽤相应的过去时态（⼀般过去时，过去进⾏时，

过去将来时，过去完成时）。例如：He asked what time it was.

He told me that he was preparing for the sports

meet.

He said that he would go back to the U.S. soon.

3. 如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理，其时态常

⽤⼀般现在时。例如：Our teacher said that January is the first month

of the year.

Scientists have proved that the earth turns

around the sun.

一，引导词

A，由that 引导的陈述句性的宾语从句，在很多动词如say， think， wish ，

hope， see， believe， agree， expect， hear ， feel等动词后。连词that只起连接作用，在从句中不做句子的成分，也无词汇意义，在口语中常被省略，但在大多数情况下还是以不省为好，特别是在笔语中。

例：I told him that he was wrong.

l在think，believe， suppose， expect等动词引起的宾语从句中，有时谓语尽管是否定意义，却不用否定形式，而将think 等动词变为否定形式。

例：I don’t think you are right. (我认为你做的不对)

l在许多带有复合宾语的句子中，that引导的宾语从句经常移到句子的后面，而用it做形式宾语。

例：We think it wrong that he told a lie to everyone (我认为他向每一个人撒谎是错误的)

B，由连词if、 whether 引导的表示是否的宾语从句。Whether，if 在从句中不做句子的成分，一般情况下，whether和if 可以替换。

例：I don’t know if/whether he will come tomorrow.

The teacher asked if/whether we had finished the experiment.

l在介词后面的宾语从句中不用if引导

例：Everything depends on whether we have enough money。

l宾语从句中有or not时不用if引导.

例：I don’t know whether the movie star will come or not.

l和不定式连用作宾语时不用if引导.

1 宾语从句

一、宾语从句的概念

宾语从句属于名词性从句，在句中作主句的宾语。宾语从句可作谓语动词的宾语，也可做介词的宾语。

He said he was good at drawing. (动词宾语)

He asks him how long Mike has been down . (动词宾语)

Miss Zhang is angry at what you said. (介词宾语)

二、宾语从句三要素：连接词、语序、时态

1.连接词

(1) .陈述句转化成宾语从句时，引导词用that,口语中常常省略。

e.g, She told me (that) she would like to go with us.

(2) if/ whether “是否”，用它引导从句，说明对陈述的事物不明确或不清楚。常用在ask, wonder, can(could) you tell me 等后。原句为一般疑问句，选择疑问句或反意疑问句。

Could you tell me if (whether) Miss Brown lives in that house?

注意：一般情况下，whether 和if 可以互用，但有些情况例外。

1.只能用whether不能用if的情况

a. 当从句做介词的宾语时只用whether 不用if

eg, We are talking about whether we'll go on the picnic.

We didn’t think about whether it would rain the next day.

b.当与or not连用，或提出两种选择时:

I don’t know whether he’s free or not.

Mary asked whether I was doing my homework or not.

Tell me whether you’d like to go shopping or tidy the room.
