International trade involves complex flows of goods and services between many countries. Therefore, a set of official documents are used by countries to monitor and control these flows. These usually include:
Proforma invoices basically contain much of the same information as the formal quotation, and in many cases can be used in place of one.
A pro forma invoice is used as a preliminary invoice together with a quotation; it has a detailed information on the transaction that can help him plan. A pro forma invoice has no legal status. It is only a means to facilitate the buyer to accomplish the corresponding tasks.
