语法重点是形容词,副词的最高级形式和“By+交通工具”的用法。

教师引导学生复习上节课所学的形容词与副词的比较级的用法,(以提问、回顾的形式进行),
针对上节课的作业进行讲评、订正、答疑,并通过比较级与最高级的对比引出本课重点语法。

三、知识讲解
知识点 1.
What happened?
happen作“发生”讲。
此外,还有“碰巧”的意思。
如:I happened to meet one of my friends on my way to school this morning.
考查点:单词的延申意思
知识点 2.
the traffic was very heavy
此处的heavy是它的延申意思,“超出一般的,比一般严重的”。
考查点:作形容词,比一般严重的。
副词heavily表示在很大程度上。
如:It was raining heavily.
知识点 3.
except :除了.........以外
比如:Nobody was late except me
考查点:区别except/except for/besides/but
(1)except 表示除了,最普遍
例如:Except him, we are all here. 除了他我们都来了
(2)but说起来比较口语话,没except正式,意思同except
例如:Nobody is here but me. 除了我没人在这。
(3)except for 表示除了以外,还有也是
例如:Except for him, I am also a student. 除了他,我也是学生(两个都是)
(4)besides用做除了以外=except for
例如:What has he done, besides reading the paper? 除了看报,他还做了什么?
知识点 4.
Maybe 也许
比如:Maybe you are right.
考查点:辨析possible/perhaps/probably/maybe
(1)possible“或许;也许”,所指的可能性较小,为加强语气,可与can或could连用;与may连用,
表示的可能性更小。
例如:It may possibly be true.也许是真的。
Please call me as soon as you possibly can.请尽快给我打电话。
(2)probably“很有可能;十之八九”,其语义较强,可能性较大。
在否定句中,probably不能紧
跟在否定词之后。
例如:It will probably be fine tomorrow.明天大概会是晴天。
(3)perhaps“或许”,含有“可能这样,也可能不这样”之意,其含义和用法与maybe一样,多用
于口语。
maybe多用于美国英语。
在这几个单词中,语义最强的是probably,其次是perhaps和maybe,最弱的是possibly。
例如:Perhaps we will be late for work.或许我们上班会迟到。
知识点 5.
the most comfortable 最舒服的
形容词最高级,大部分双音节和多音节词,前面加more构成比较级,前面加the most构成最高级。
(副词的最高级前可省去定冠词the)
例如:Of all the students, Danny is the most careful.
知识点6.
a bit 一点;稍许
例如:I am a bit hungry now.
考查点: a bit 与 a little的辨析
1,两者都可以修饰不可数名词,但a little可直接用于名词前作定语,而 a bit必须接of后才可以用于名词前作定语。
例如:Danny has a bit of/ a little money.
2,not a bit 意为“一点也不”,与not at all同义;not a little意为“非常;很”,与very 同义。
比如:She is not a little tired.
知识点 7.

考查点:辨析类似短语:so much/ so many/ too much/ too many/ much too .
so much:如此多的,量较大的,修饰不可数名词
so many:如此多的,量较大的,修饰可数名词复数
too much:太多的,强调超出正常范围的,修饰不可数名词。
too many:太多的,强调超出正常范围的,修饰可数名词复数。
much too:太,十分,相当于一个副词,修饰形容词或副词。
知识点 8.
the same as 和...........一样。
这里as是连词,常用到的是“the same +as +.......",但也可以什么都不加,直接是the same as。
比如:I have the same short hair as my brother.
