Jenny Writes a Postcard
【教材分析】本课是冀教版五年级下册第三单元第2课,本单元的教学重点是:学生们将学习关于写信,明信片和电子邮件的词汇和表达方式,并将懂得如何书写信件,明信片和电子邮件,帮助学生了解国外的学生怎样和朋友及家人保持联系,传递信息。
本课主要学习如何用英文正确书写明信片,并了解一些此过程中的中西方文化差异。
【教学目标】

Step1: Class Opening and Review
Greetings:

T: I live in Tangshan. My address is 107 Jianshe Road, Now would you like to tell us your address?
T: Now let’s play a guessing game: What is it?

You write it on paper. You use a stamp, you send it at the post office.
b. You don’t use your pen. You write and send it on your computer.

Step 2: New Concepts
1.T: We know Jenny and Danny are going on a trip in Beijing. She sees m
any interesting places in Beijing. She wants to tell her mum and dad.
What can she do?
S: Yes, she wants to send a postcard to Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Jenny write s a postcard, Now let’s read Jenny’s postcard.
2. Introduce the different parts of a postcard.
T: A postcard has two parts. This is the left and this is the right. Can you say it?
T: Where do we write on a postcard?
S:Yes, on the left.
T: Where do we put the address?
S: Yes, on the right.
T: Do we need a stamp?
S: Yes, here’s a stamp.
Pair work: ask and answer in groups of two.
3. Talk about Jenny’s postcard and make sure how to write a postcard. T: When does Jenny write the postcard?
S: On Friday, February 7.
T: So we write the date first. Say it, please.
T: And then Jenny writes the name. Can you read it?
S: Yes. Dear Mum and Dad.
T: What’s next? It’s the body of Jenny’s postcard. Let’s read it loudly. T: At last, Jenny signs. Can you read it?
T: Where do Mr. and Mrs. Smith live, do you know? Let’s read the ad dress.
