”,千万不要说:He has two cocks。
I was born in the year of rooster.
The rubber on my car is ruined.
Rubber
He always carries a rubber“just in case”.

Then he would go home and make little statues of the animals he had drawn. Zongzi, a traditional Chinese delicacy, is a pyramid-shaped or triangular glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. It is a ubiquitous food enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. The festival is celebrated to commemorate the life and death of the renowned poet Qu Yuan. According to legend, Qu Yuan drowned himself in the Miluo River after his advice was rejected by the emperor. To prevent fish from eating his body, local people threw zongzi into the river. Over time, this practice evolved into the Dragon Boat Festival tradition.Zongzi come in various regional variations, each withits distinct flavors and ingredients. In northern China, people prefer savory zongzi, which often contain pork belly, dried shrimp, salted egg yolk, and mushrooms. Southernzongzi, on the other hand, are typically sweet and filled with red bean paste, lotus seed paste, or other sweet fillings. In addition to rice, zongzi can also be made with glutinous millet or corn. The preparation of zongzi is a time-consuming but rewarding process. First, the glutinous rice is soaked overnight to soften it. Next, the fillings are prepared and marinated to enhance their flavors. The bamboo or reed leaves are then softened by boiling or steaming. Once the leaves are pliable, they are spread out and arranged in a cone or triangle shape. The rice is then placed on the leaves and topped with the fillings. Finally, the leaves are folded and tied together with twine or bamboo strings to form the characteristic pyramid or triangular shape of the zongzi.Zongzi are typically cooked by steaming or boiling for several hours. After cooking, they are usually served hot or warm. The chewy texture of the glutinous rice, combined with the savory or sweet fillings, makes zongzi adelightful treat that is both satisfying and symbolic.

The answer is “To keep the desire to learn”.Keep the desire to learn, and you will never be satisfied with what you have known. Always keep a curious mind to all the mysterious parts of the world. Keep the desire to learn, and whatever difficulties you face, the strong belief will support you in solving the problems. Keep the desire to learn, just as Ms Curie puts it: “Nothing in the world is to be feared, it is only to be understand.” So everything is possible if we tr y our best and never give up.One who does not have the desire to learn will never reach their goals. They are always shortsighted and are easily be satisfied with the very little thing they have known. In fact, knowledge, just like the ocean, never has a rim. Whenever and wherever you are, you should remember: what you are learning is only the surface. In a word, always keep the desire to learn, and the door of success will open to you one day.
The Seed: A Tale of Friendship, Loss, and Growing Up" tells the story of a young girl named Mary and the special bond she shares with her grandfather. As spring arrives, Mary's grandfather gives her a mysterious seed, sparking her curiosity and excitement. He tells her that it's a very special seed, unlike any other, and challenges her to nurture it and see what amazing things it can bring.Mary takes great care of the seed, tending to it diligently, watering it every day, and watching over it as it slowly begins to grow. She becomes increasingly fascinated by the mysterious plant and spends many joyful hours conversing with her grandfather about what it might become. The seed becomes a symbol of hope and new beginnings, a tangible connection to her beloved grandfather. As the days pass, Mary's excitement grows as the seed starts to show signs of life, shooting up a tiny sprout. She imagines all the possibilities of what it could be, envisioning a magnificent tree or perhaps a beautiful flower. The plant's slow growth becomes a captivating journey for both Mary and her grandfather, who shares her enthusiasm. They eagerly await each new development, discussing and speculating about the plant's future.During this time, Mary's grandfather, who has been battling an illness, takes a turn for the worse. The once vibrant and energetic man seems to be fading away, much like the hope and promise of the seed they cherished together. Mary's world starts to crumble as she faces the reality of losing her dear friend and mentor.Despite their best efforts, Mary's grandfather passes away, leaving a profound void in her life. The once lively and joyful girl becomes quiet and withdrawn, finding itdifficult to cope with the grief. The seed, now a young plant, seems to sense her sorrow, its growth stunted as if it, too, was mourning the loss of the beloved elder.Mary finds comfort in the plant, pour her love andsadness into its care. She pours over books, studying every detail of the seed's species, seeking to understand itsnature and the best way to nurture it. Time becomes both her enemy and her ally as the seed continues to grow, becoming a beautiful, mysterious vine with exquisite flowers. The plant's transformation reflects Mary's own journey towards healing and acceptance. As she tends to the vine's needs, she finds solace in the process, realizing that the seed's growth, like life, is an unpredictable and wondrous path. She understands that just as the seed needed time and nurturing, so does the process of healing from grief. The once-small seed has now become a stunningly beautiful plant, captivating anyone who lays eyes on it. Visitors areamazed by the unique and exquisite flower, its delicate petals seemingly reaching for the sky. Mary knows that the plant's beauty goes beyond what meets the eye, for it represents the enduring love and memories she shares with her grandfather. As time moves forward, the vine becomes a testament to the enduring power of nature and the preciousness of life. Mary finds comfort in the idea that just as the seed grewinto something remarkable, so too can people's lives continue to blossom despite the difficulties they face. The plant becomes a symbol of hope, reminding her that even from the smallest beginnings, incredible things can grow.In the end, Mary realizes that the seed's journey is a metaphor for her own coming of age. Just as the seed required care and attention to flourish, so does the cultivation of dreams and aspirations. Inspired by the memory of her grandfather, Mary gains the courage to pursue her passions, understanding that the process of growing up is a thrilling adventure filled with possibilities."The Seed" reminds us of the importance of hope, the enduring power of nature, and the strength within us. It is a tale that captures the complexities of growing up, the profound impact of familial love, and the ability to find beauty and meaning in the midst of loss. Through the journey of this young girl and her precious seed, readers are reminded that even in the darkest of times, the tiniest spark of hope can lead to breathtaking wonders.。

Once there was an emperor in the Far East who was growing old and knew it was coming time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or one of his own children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, "It has come time for me to step down and to choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you." The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today. One seed. It is a very special seed. I want you to go home, plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring to me, and the one I choose will be the next emperor of the kingdom!"There was one boy named Ling who was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly told his mother the whole story. She helped him get a pot and some planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Ling kept going home and checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by. Still nothing.By now others were talking about their plants but Ling didn't have a plant, and he felt like a failure. Six months went by, still nothing in Ling's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling didn't say anything to his friends, however. He just kept waiting for his seed to grow.A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she encouraged him to go, and to take his pot, and to be honest about what happened. Ling felt sick to his stomach, but he knew his mother was right. He took his empty pot to the palace. When Ling arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by all the other youths. They were beautiful, in all shapes and sizes. Ling put his empty pot on the floor and many of the other kinds laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him and just said, "Hey nice try."When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young people. Ling just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the emperor. "Today, one of you will be appointed the next emperor!"All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered his guards to bring him to the front. Ling was terrified. "The emperor knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me killed!"When Ling got to the front, the Emperor asked his name. "My name is Ling," he replied. All the kids were laughing and making fun of him. The emperor asked everyone to quiet down. He looked at Ling, and then announced to the crowd, "Behold your new emperor! His name is Ling!" Ling couldn't believe it. Ling couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be the new emperor? Then the emperor said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone here a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds which would not grow. All of you, except Ling, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grown, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Ling was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new emperor!"
