Presentation在高中英语课堂中的应用一、引言课堂学习是学生获得知识与技能、体验过程与方法、升华情感、形成价值观的重要渠道,教学过程的核心是学习,影响学习的不仅仅是学习内容,还有其他很重要的因素,如学习态度、学习动机、学习策略、整个学习过程中的情感过程。
学习是一种体验,是学生的自尊需要不断满足的过程,因此教师需要充分了解学习者的需求,教学应该是为学生创造各种各样的学习机会,不断提高课堂教学质量,实现学生主体性的生成,使学生得到真正意义上的发展。
高中英语课堂Presentation就是适用于这一实践创新的语言学习活动,高中英语课堂中的Presentation是指在课堂上由学生借助有声语言、肢体语言和其他辅助工具就某一话题进行演说或展示并向其他同学提问和解答的一种课堂教学活动(程洁,2011)。
这一活动包括以下一些环节:确定话题、查找资料、制作PPT、口头报告、师生评价等,一般分为两种形式:个人展示和小组展示,前者侧重个人的独立性,给个人发展以充分的锻炼机会,而后者则侧重团队合作学习(竹旭锋,2007)。
精彩的课堂展示与学生的知识积累、自信程度及输出技巧密切相关。
教材只是一个弹性的框架,只能提供一种线索,不可能提供教学全部的内容(吴宗杰,2005)。
课堂展示过程中学生所接触、了解和呈现的资源是教材很好的补充和延伸,通过课堂内外的探索型实践,课堂展示能成为高中学生英语学习的有效手段,在高中英语学习的不同阶段对课堂展示活动的灵活应用能促进学生知识技能的拓展,巩固和提高学生的语言综合运用能力。
二、理论依据杜威是美国20世纪很有影响的教育家,他提出,教育本身是一种体验(experience),学校应该为学生创设各种各样的体验。
孔子带着学生出去体验,触景生情,师生一起对话,智慧就出来了(吴宗杰,2005)。
学生提出问题,孔子解释,这里学生的主动探索起了很重要的作用,这就是知识,这就是教育。
Allwright经过课堂的实证研究后发现学生并不是或不完全是学教师所教的内容,学生按照内在大纲利用教师提供的交际情景发展语言,而且这种发展过程经常是不可预测和偶发的。

以下主要围绕着Presentation教学法的基本内涵展开简单分析与探讨:一、Presentation教学法的基础概念概述“Presentation”的解释可以翻译为展示、陈述以及呈现,presentation教学法指的是在课堂上通过语言、演示工具以及肢体语言等方式来对受众进行展示教学。
而在展示教学的过程当中,presentation指的是在课堂上教师、学生个人或是学生小组对全班教学某一个话题或内容的讲解,是一种新兴的教学实践活动。
笔者有着长年的高职英语教学经历,将presentation教学法实际运用在所教的高职英语课程当中,并且让每一个学生都进行过独立的课前presentation 展示,在学生进行展示的过程中对学生进行了有意识、有目的地详细观察,并对学生进行的展示内容做出了相应的总结以及提出一些改进建议。

长期以来,我国的英语教学偏重于语言知识传授,对文化教学的培养有所缺失,这导致学生的跨文化交际能力相对不足。
当前大部分学生掌握了一定的词汇和语法知识,但因其不了解异国文化,在写作上捉襟见肘,阅读理解能力停滞不前,口语表达和交际更是漏洞百出,要改善这一局面必须重视语言教学中的文化导入。
近些年来,我国的大学英语教学改革使得以“学生为中心”的课堂教学模式深入人心,为充分调动学生的学习自主性与参与性,课堂展示(presentation)教学法被很多教师引入课堂教学实际。
presentation是美国课堂教学的基本模式,在英语课堂实践中,它主要有两种呈现形式:个人课堂展示和小组课堂展示。
其中个人展示指以个人为单位,由个人进行自主选题,并收集整理资料,之后进行报告制作等,最后在课堂上向班级同学展示自己的课题。
而在小组展示中,首先把班上的学生进行分组,每个小组在小组长的统筹安排下讨论并确定主题,然后组员进行分工来完成相关资料的搜集整理和课件的制作,随后确定发言人做课堂展示,之后班级同学就该组的展示内容进行讨论,可以对发言人和小组其他成员进行提问。

2. 内容准备:学生需要在课前准备好自己的presentation内容,包括所要表达的主要内容、用到的词汇和句型、演讲逻辑和思路等。
也可以通过PPT、图片、视频等形式辅助展示,让presentation更加生动和形象。

新课标以接近现实生活的话题讨论展开任务型教学。
在每个Topic(话题)中的每个Section(部分)都有不同的“呈现”内容。

一、“呈现”的原则(一)“呈现”具有目的性作为重要的课堂环节之一,“呈现”必须体现教学目标,具有目的性。
初中英语新课标的目标是:通过任务式的综合探究活动,使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听说读写技能,形成一定的综合运用英语的能力;激发学生学习英语的兴趣,树立学生学习自信心,培养良好的学习策略以及发展合作学习的精神。
教学过程中的每一步都是围绕这一大目标以及课堂话题小目标进行的。
“呈现”过程也不例外地要体现以上要素。
即其目标是不能仅仅教授英语知识,须同时兼顾学生情感态度的发展。
“呈现”的内容要有利于学生综合语言能力的提高,要能激发学生的学习兴趣,要能培养良好的学习习惯与合作精神。
(二)“呈现”具有示范性“呈现”的过程就是教师示范让学生模仿的过程。
心理学认为,人的认知是从无到有的,学生根据范例,才能进行相应的模仿活动,从而熟练掌握活动的内容和技能。
“呈现”就是要发挥榜样的作用,让学生知道该做什么以及如何去做。
