A Wisconsin police officer is feeling the love on social media after he brightened a boy’s birthday with a McDonald’s meal and a ride in his police car.

On Monday, Officer Darryl Robinson from the Green Bay Police Department was called to an elementary school where a boy hadn’t been picked up after school. When Robinson pulled up at the school gate, the school director told him the child’s mother was in prison. And he learned it was the child’s 8th birthday. The school resource officer who usually handled such cases was on another assignment at the time, so with no further knowledge of the mother's status and only the grandfather’s number Robinson made a call.

Refusing to let the boy celebrate his birthday alone, Robinson got the grandfather’s permission to hang out with him a little longer. Robinson took the boy for a ride in his police car and treated him to a birthday meal at McDonalds. For about 45 minutes, Robinson spent time with the boy--talking, playing and showing him around the city--until he got in touch with his grandfather and reunited him with his family members.

The police department posted Robinson’s kind act on Facebook, and the post quickly blew up getting 11,000 likes and 1,900 shares within the day. Hundreds of people praised the officer online thanking him for taking care of the child in need.

Whether it was his birthday or not, Robinson said he would have acted in the same manner “Officers do this every day—not just police, but different public service jobs as well. All of us do this It’s not rare.” Robinson said.

There are many American expressions about insects.

Bees are known as very hard workers. So you might say you were as busy as a bee if you spent your weekend cleaning your house. In fact, you might say your house was a beehive of activity if your whole family was helping you clean. You also might say you made a beeline something if you went there right away. When we go to see a movie, my friend always makes a beeline for the place where they sell popcorn. If something was the best of its kind, you might say it was the bee’s knees. Now, we admit that we do not know how this expression developed. In fact, we do not even know if bees have knees! If your friend cannot stop talking about something because she thinks it is important, you might

say she has a bee in her bonnet. If someone asks you a personal question, and you would like not to tell him or her, you might say, “That is none of your beeswax.”

Butterflies are beautiful insects, but you would not want to have butterflies in your stomach. That means to be nervous about having to do something, like speaking in front of a crowd. You would also not want to have ants in your pants. That is, to be restless and unable to sit still.

If a friend keeps asking you to do something you do not want to do, you might ask him to leave you alone or “stop bugging me”. A friend also might tell you again and again to do something. If so, you might say he put a bug in your ear. If you were reading a book in your warn bed on a cold winter's day, you might say you were snug as a bug in a rug. And, if you wish someone good night, you might say, “Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.”

( ) 72. When you describe a wonderful bike of your friend, you can say “________.”

A. It makes a beeline.

B. It is the bee s knees.

C. It is a beehive of activity.

D. It has a bee in its bonnet.

( ) 73. The underlined phrase in Paragraph 2 means “________.”

A. That has nothing to do with you.

B. That draws your attention.

C. That goes wrong.

D. That is the bee’s knees.

( ) 74. In the text, butterflies and ants are used to ________.

A. speak highly of a beautiful person

B. describe a person without confidence

C. stand for bad effects on a person

D. comfort a person in a bad mood

( ) 75. What can we learn from the last paragraph?
