一、教材分析
本课是外研版新标准英语三年级起点四年级上册第五模块第二单元。本单元继续围绕“能力（can）”这一话题展开，课文情景是Ms Smart向体育老师了解学生的特长，以便组建不同的俱乐部或兴趣小组，学习本单元有利于学生在实际生活中更好的运用英语交际，也是朋友之间加深相互了解从而增进友谊的常见行为。
二、学情分析
本节课的教学对象是四年级的学生。他们比较好动、好奇、好胜与好玩，模仿能力强。因此，我将在课堂上利用大量的图片为孩子们提供会话情景，通过听、说、读、唱、演等活动，激发学生学习的兴趣，培养学生良好的学习习惯，逐步形成有效的学习方法，发展自主学习的能力。本单元是在前一模块学习的Can you…? 这一结构的扩展。学生有一定的基础，所以学起来也比较容易些。
三、教学目标
1、语言技能
全体学生能运用“Can Sam play football？I can……”询问他人的能力及说明自己的能力。
2、语言知识
（1）全体学生能够初步运用语句: Can Sam play football？
（2）全体学生能够初步理解词汇:strong，star
全体学生能够初步运用词汇:star
部分学生能够初步运用词汇:strong
3、情感态度
通过本课的学习，学生能够用“can”询问他人的能力与说明自己的能力，积极大胆的开口说英语，并愿意与他人交流，积极参与各种课堂学习活动，展现自己的才能。
4、学习策略
通过大量的图片、歌谣或游戏来学习单词，主动练习和实践所学内容，积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务，并且尝试归纳已学的can的用法。
四、教学重、难点 1、重点
能使用“can”谈论能力。
2、难点
熟练运用Can you…?Yes, I can. /No, I can’t.进行简单会话。

教具：课件，教师用书，单词卡片，点读笔。

六、教学过程
(一）复习导入Revision and lead in（3分钟）
1.Greeting: t：Good morning boys and girls.
2. Look and say (PPT 2)
Present pictures and phrases to students, students say them quickly.
【设计意图】通过将本课的活动5 进行整合并放入到导入环节，以快速地说词组的方式来激发学生的已有的知识。
3. Free talk (PPT3)
T：Look at these activities, xxx, can you play basketball?
S: Yes. I can.
T: Good. Like this, can you ask others?
S: Yes. I can.
T: Please.
S: xxx, can you...?
【设计意图】通过呈现上一活动的图片和联系学生的自身，运用上一单元学习的句型“Can
you ...? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. ”对图片进行自由讨论，为下一活动搭建支架.

【设计意图】通过带动作演唱歌曲来进一步激发学生的学习兴趣，在身心愉悦的前提下完成本单元活动1的内容。 （二）任务呈现Task presentation(PPT5-6)（ 1 分钟）
T：Wonderful! Give ourselves a big applause. I know some of you can do many things. Well, this
class, the task presentation is “Ask others abilities and make some different clubs according to
their abilities.(询问他人的能力并根据他们的能力组建不同的俱乐部。) ”
2. Team race: during learning , We have two big groups.Group1 and Group 2. Group1 is a
basketball team, Group 2 is a football team. If you have a good performance, your team will get
the star firstly.

（三）课文学习Text learning（ 20分钟）
1. Watch and answer. (PPT 7—10)
T: Boys and girls, look at picture . Who are they ？
S: Ms. Smart and P .E. teacher.
T: Ms. Smart wants some students to join her clubs, so she is making a survey. So many
students are plying on the playground. Who are they talking about?
Now, Let’s watch and answer.
T: Who are they talking about? Who knows?
S: Sam and Lingling.
【设计意图】谈论课文图片，帮助学生了解课文背景，让学生带着问题整体感知课文，给学生明确了观看动画的目的，熟悉语言学习的情境。
2. Listen and answer.
T: Look at picture. Can Sam play football? Can Lingling play basketball？
Let’s listen the text. Please open your books to page 29. Take your pencil and underline your
answers. After listening, talk about your answers in your groups.
T: Can Sam play football? (Yes, he can.)

3.Grammar summary(PPT 11,12)
T: Boys and girls, please look at these sentences. Read them by yourselves. What cam you found
from these sentences?
【设计意图】语法梳理,学生能够通过呈现的句子总结出can引导的一般疑问句和相关用法，培养学生的思维力，并学会与他人分享。
4.Listen and repeat.(PPT 14)
T: Let’s listen and repeat! Please read by yourselves and later do the role play in your groups.And
don’t forget to give yourself a value. if your reading is good, you’ll get 1 star, if your reading is
great, you get 2 stars and if your reading is perfect, you will get 3 tars.Which group can read?
