Comment on The Road Not Taken by Robert FrostThe Road Not Taken is a famous poem written by Robert Frost, a famous American poet. We can say that Robert Frost is one of the most popular poets in America during 1990s and he is the unofficial Poet Laureate. He devoted his whole life into poetry creation, and wrote and published ten poetry anthologies. The Road Not Taken is one masterpiece of his third poetry anthology--- The Interval of The Mountain. The form of The Road Not Taken is the traditional iambic tetrameter, but the foot is changeable(there are many anapaestic components). The rhythm of every stanza is abaab. The Road Not Taken is my favourite poem written by Robert Frost. The most special characteristic is that he is good at explaining a profound philosophy theory just using some bland stuff. Just because he usually used concrete things to interpret abstract concepts, his poems are much easier to be accepted and understood by readers. Just as he wrote in this poem:"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both...I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference". He choose the poetry instead of teaching in a normal school, which means a smooth and steady life. He said to himself:"Just to write poems and let it be poor" So he came to the UK and find a cottage in a village not far from London as his new house. This poem has four stanzas and can be divided into two stratum. The first three stanzas form the first stratum. In the woods, "I" am faced with two roads, and after thinking,"I" decided to choose the untraversed one. In this stratum, the poet describes that the choice was not made hastily, instead, he made it after a complex mental process. This stratum describes that "I" am standing before the fork road, and feel pity for not taking two road at the same time. "long I stood " describes "my" hesitation and thinking: a road is smoothenough to see its end; but the other one is desolate, fulling of the temptation of exploration. But infinite beauties only can be seen on the perilous peaks, so "I" finally chose the one less traveled and let the other one to be stepped in the following days. It is clear that that is the author's morale-boosting after the choice because"Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back". Even though "I" have a sense of fear, "I" go on without remorse. The fourth stanza is the second stratum. And it's is the author's feelings after several years."I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference" That tells us that we will face numerous choices in our lives, and every choice will influence us a lot. How a person's lifetime is spent is determined by the options he has made. A different choice makes a different fate. The the biggest characteristic on poetic style of Frost is simplicity but meaningful. He put the profound philosophy into bland content and concise simple verse. The Road Not taken can be the model on this aspect. This language of this poem is plain and natural, but the conception is very clever. We see that the fork in this poem is the symbol of life. It shows that, in the journey of life, we often have to make choice within two roads, two kinds of thought or actions and different choice will determine different life direction. When we are facing that, we tend to be hesitate but we will ultimately choose one of the them. This poem depicts the mentality when a person is facing his life-fork.The key point is the choice and every reader can find his life experience in this poem, and appreciate the philosophy. Because the rich connotation of this poem, it leaves readers some space for imagination. So the readers are deeply touched, and think a lot. This kind of complex psychological experience which everyone has is caught sensitively by Frost, and write this universal praised poem. And I think the reason why this poem is so popular is also that it represents people's common feelings.。
未选择的路英文鉴赏The Road Not Taken: An AppreciationRobert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" is one of the most well-known and well-loved poems in the English language. Its theme of choices and the consequences of those choices resonates with readers of all backgrounds and ages. Let's take a closer look at this masterpiece of American literature. The poem has a deceptively simple structure of four stanzas of five lines each, with a rhyme scheme of ABAAB. Each stanza has a consistent iambic tetrameter rhythm of four stressed syllables and four unstressed syllables. This gives the poem a flowing and musical quality that is easy on the ear. However, it is not just the form that makes this poem so memorable, but also the content. The poem's title, "The Road Not Taken," immediately hints at the theme of choice and the consequences of that choice. The speaker stands at a fork in the road, and he must choose which path to take. He observes that both paths are in "fair" condition and that there is no apparent difference between them. However, he must make a choice. Frost writes, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- / I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference."The choice of which path to take is left up to the reader to decide. Is the speaker happy with his choice? Does he regret it? These questions are left unanswered, but what is clear is the idea of the road less traveled and theimportance of making a choice. Frost suggests that the choices we make have consequences, and we must be willing to live with the consequences of our choices. The poem's universal theme is what makes it so appealing to readers of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone can relate to the idea of making a choice and wondering about the path not taken. Frost's masterful use of language and imagery adds depth and richness to the poem. The "yellow wood" and the "undergrowth" give the setting a vivid, almost mystical quality. The use of the word "sigh" in the third stanza adds a sense of melancholy and wistfulness to the poem.In conclusion, Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" is a timeless masterpiece of American literature. Its theme of choices and the consequences of those choices speaks to readers of all backgrounds and ages. The poem's simple structure and musical quality, combined with its deep and universal message, make it one of the most beloved and enduring poems in the English language.。

In 1885, after his father died of tuberculosis, the Frosts moved to Massachusetts. There, Robert graduated from high school sharing top honors with a student he would later marry Elinor White. In his spare time, he wrote poetry. Disappointed with the scant attention his poems received, he moved with his wife to Great Britain to present his work to readers there. Publishers liked his work and printed his first book of poems, A Boy’s Will, in 1913, and a second poetry collection, North of Boston, in 1914. The latter book was published in the United States in 1915. Having established his reputation, Frost returned to the United States in 1915 and bought a small farm in Franconia, N.H. To supplement his income from the farm and his poetry, he taught at universities. Between 1916 and 1923, he published two more books of poetry—the second one, New Hampshire, winning the 1923 Pulitzer Prize. He went on to win three more Pulitzer Prizes and was invited to recite his poem “The Gift Outright” at President John F. Kennedy’s inauguration in January 1961. Frost died in Boston two years later. One may regard him as among the greatest poets of his generationRobert Lee Frost was a famous American poet. He is highly regarded for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech. He does different jobs in rural areas in New England in the early twentieth century, and writes poems by using his personal life experiences. His poems examine complex social and philosophical themes. A popular and often-quoted poet, Frost was honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry.1.2 The Background of this PoemRobert Frost was born in a teacher family, spent his childhood in the western United States. After graduating from high school, he graduated from Harvard University after two years of study. He worked as a weaver, teachers and farm. His life journey is not smooth at all. He has moved to different places and has had many different jobs. Meanwhile he began to write poetry. But his poe ms didn’t bring to the attention of the American. In 1912, Frost was 38 years old. This year he made an important choice: give up his teaching in a normal school, so he had to give up the flat and stable life. He chose the poetry. He said to himself: "though I’m poor, I would keep writing."The Rod Not Taken is one of the best known poems by Robert Frost. It was published in 1915, in the collection Mountain Interval. He put his thoughts and feelings into the poem. His poetic style is simple and meaningful. This poem is a fine example, its language is Concise fluent and simple, and it is easy to understand.2.Analysis of the Poem2.1 FormThe form of this poem is: four stanzas of five lines each; all lines are capitalized, flush left, and of approximately the same length. The rhyming scheme is so rhythmical and familiar to readers that it sounds like music when the poem is read. The poem has 4 stanzas. They can be divided into two layers. The 1-3 stanzas are the first layer. In a yellow wood, I’m facing two roads. After thinking deeply, I decided to choose the road less travel. In this layer, the poet describes the selection is not a hasty decision. He goes through a complex psychological process. On the road of life, he arrives at a point where he must decide which of two equally appealing (or equally intimidating) choices is the better one. He examines one choice as best he can, but the future prevents him from seeing where it leads. He selects the road that appears at first glance to be less worn and therefore less traveled. It suggests that he has an independent spirit and does not wish to follow the crowd. After a moment, he concludes that both roads are about equally worn. Leaves cover both roads equally. No one on this morning has yet taken either road, for the leaves lie undisturbed. The speaker remains committed to his decision to take the road he had previously selected, saying that he will save the other road for another day. He observes, however, that he probably will never pass this way again and thus will never have an opportunity to take the other road. The stanza4 is the second layer. It is the author's feelings many years later. He wants to telling others about the choice he made. While doing so, he will sigh either with relief that he made the right choice or with regret that he made the wrong choice.Whether right or wrong, the choice will have had a significant impact on his life. This tells us that in everyone’s life, he or she may face a lot of options, we must make decision, and we must consider a lot. In some degree nobody can judge which one is the right and which is the wrong one. The problem is that, once we make a choice, and take a road, we cannot come back. When we recall our choice after many years, we will know that everything began to change the moment we took the road. Every choice will have an impact on life; Choose a different road, the fate would be different.2.2 MeaningThe Road Not Taken centers on the concept of choice. The road that the speaker is walking on is splitting in two directions, and he has to decide which way to go. This road is not just in the woods, but also represents a decision in his life. Something in his life is changing, forcing him to make a choice. Yet he has a really hard time deciding – one moment, he thinks one way is better, the next, both paths are about the same. Whether or not he has a reason why the choice he makes is better, he has to make it. And that choice changes his life.Although the poet wrote the road he chose, but the focus is the road which he didn’t select. The subject also shows this. So choice is very important. But why the poet focus on the road he didn’t choose? In fact, not choose is just a kind of choice. In the life, people usually didn’t satisfy their choices. So it made people to miss the road they didn’t choose. So in this poem, the poet remained the road that not be chose in his mind. This is a true meaning of life.In the life, there are many roads that people can choose. But one person can only choose one way. People have to give up many other choice, because the life is to short to everyone. Choosing the road of life has a lot of contingency and randomness. Those roads people have not chosen made people more miss. The poets did not write the chosen path, while focusing on the road not taken. It drew the readers’ attention to think of life, to think deeply about the choice. Selection is inevitable. No matter which way you choose, you never know what it means unless you go over, and we don’t need to regret what we don’t choose.3.ConclusionIn a word, The Road Not Taken is a very beautiful and excellent poem. It is simple in form but profound in meaning. This poem depicts a man and the attitude when he facing the choice. But the poet didn’t write the thing he has to choose. Everyone can find his own experience like the poem said. It gives a lot of space to think. Everyone has such a complex psychological experience, Frost wrote it into a well-known masterpiece. The poem conveys the common feelings of human.Works CitedDrabble, Margaret: The Oxford Companion to English Literature. The rhyme scheme is abaab, which are wood, both, could, undergrowth; fair, claim, wear, there, same; lay, black, day, way, back; sigh, hence, I, by, difference. This lively rhythm gives reader the sense of following. This poem is from the world-famous poet, Robert Frost, who was born in SanFranciso and got his whole-American glory in the 1990s. Frost was one of the most popular poets in America during his lifetime and was frequently called the country's unofficial poet laureate. He was farming in Derry, New Hampshire when, at the age of 38, he sold the farm, uprooted his family and moved to England, where he devoted himself to his poetry. There are 10 volumes of poems published by Frost in his whole life. This poem is belong to his third volume Moutain Interval(1916), and also one of my favorite poem. “Frost had rejected the revolutionary poetic principles of his contemporaries, choosing instead the old-fashioned way to be new.”(History and Anthology of American Literature: 167) He prefers to use the traditional forms of lyric and narrative, and the simple words to express a new and profound philosophy. As a poet of nature he had obvious affinities with romantic writers. He saw nature as a storehouse of analogy and symbol, but he had little faith in religious dogma or speculative thought. His concern with nature reflected deep moral uncertainties, and his poetry, for all its apparent simplicity, often probes mysteries of darkness and irrationality in the bleak and chaotic landscapes of an indifferent universe where men stand alone, unaided and perplexed. In Frost’s poetry, there are various metapho rical objects, such as natural scenery, phenomenon, animals and flowers in nature, others are closely associated with life, farm tools, food, women’s beauty, human body, religion and mythology, etc.. All these reflect the poet’s love for nature and life, h is sad experience in life and the influence religion exerted upon western people’s daily life. This poem is a typical example. In this poem, Frost reviewed his trouble in his life, which is two different ways of life. Once he was facing two different roads, one is fair while the another one is grassy. He stood and thought for a long time. “And sorry I could not travel both, and be one traveler; long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth.” He was confused which one to take. Because the curiosity leads him to look forward both, and he thought he could take one first then another one later. “Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.”But finally, the fact led a deep philosophy, which made him feel remorse for his original choice. “I took the one less traveled by,and that has made all the difference.”In conclusion, this poem announced itself to be "about" important issues in life: about the nature of choice, of decision, of how to go in one direction rather than another and how to feel about the direction you took and didn't take. Although the symbols are only two very common roads in the nature, his poem still give readers profound affects. Not only facing the roads of forest, but also the troubles in anytime and anyplace of people’s life, the choice is the most common thing but also the most difficulty trouble in everyone’s daily life. Every decision will lead a totally different result. Poet used a very vivid way to announce this fact.References[1]吴伟仁, 美国文学史及选读第二册[M], 外语教学与研究出版社,1990[2] William H. 未选择的路作文600字初三英文回答:The Road Not Taken, a renowned poem by Robert Frost, presents a metaphorical choice between two paths that diverge in a yellow wood. Faced with this dilemma, the speaker contemplates the potential consequences of each decision, ultimately admitting his uncertainty about the better course. In the first stanza, the speaker encounters the fork in the road, describing the paths as "worn" and "grassy" respectively. The worn path, representing familiarity and conformity, offers an easy choice, while the grassy path, symbolizing novelty and uncertainty, invites exploration. The speaker meticulously analyzes each path, weighing their potential outcomes. He considers the "better claim" of the worn path, a testament to its popularity and perceived superiority. However, he also acknowledges theallure of the grassy path, its "leaves no step had trodden black."Ultimately, the speaker chooses the grassy path, recognizing its potential for unique experiences and the unknown. He admits that his choice will make "all the difference," implying the significant impact it will have on his future. In the final stanza, the speaker reflects on the significance of his decision. While he accepts that both paths may have hidden treasures, he remains uncertain about the outcome of his choice. He confesses, "I took the one less traveled by," acknowledging the less popular route he has embarked on.中文回答:未选择的路,罗伯特·弗罗斯特著名的诗歌,描绘了一个比喻性的选择,两条路在一片黄色的树林中分叉。
未选择的路英语作文英文回答:In the tapestry of life, we are presented with a myriad of paths to tread. Each decision we make, each fork in the road we encounter, weaves a unique pattern that shapes our destiny. The choices we make and the experiences we have along the way mold us into the people we become. However, there is one path that remains forever untraversed, an eternal enigma that haunts our thoughts: the road not taken. The road not taken is often imbued with a certain allure, a sense of wonder and possibility. It whispers promises of unknown adventures and untold glories. It represents the unexplored, the untried, and the potentialfor a life lived differently. We imagine what might have been if we had chosen that other path, if we had taken that fateful turn. The poet Robert Frost famously explored this theme inhis poem "The Road Not Taken." The speaker comes to a fork in the road and must decide which way to go. He contemplates the paths, each with its own set of promises and uncertainties. Ultimately, he chooses the road less traveled, believing that it will make all the difference. But what if the road not taken was not meant for us? What if the path we chose was the only one that would lead us to our true purpose? The road not taken can be a source of regret and missed opportunities, but it can also be a reminder of the countless paths that remain open to us.The beauty of life lies in its infinite possibilities. We may not always make the "right" choice, but every decision we make shapes our journey. The road not taken becomes a symbol of the unknown and the unexplored, a testament to the endless potential that life holds.中文回答:在人生的画布上,我们面临着无数的道路可走。
Rhyme scheme: ABAABRealistic nature descriptionPortrayal of basic qualities of human nature. In the poem, the poet utters a sign that sometimes in life one has to make a decision when facing two roads without knowing where the roads lead. His poetry c oncerns New England’s nature. He saw nature as a storehouse of analogy and symbol, so his concernwith nature reflected deep moral uncertainties.Stanza One---- Describes SituationsStanza Two---- Decides to Take Less-travelled RoadStanza Three---- Continues Description of RoadStanza Four----Recalls the Road Taken and Not TakenHow do you understand the word “sigh”?Is it a kind of nostalgic relief or regret? The word “sigh”is a tricky word. Because sigh can be interpreted into nostalgic relief or regret. If it is the relief sigh, then the difference means the speaker feels glad with the road he took. If it is the regret sigh, then the difference would not be good, and the speaker would be sighing in regret. Hence, sigh is ambiguous here for the speaker is not showing whether his choice is right or wrongClearly, this poem is endowed with abundant symbolic meanings. In the speaker’s mind, the two roads not only refer to the real roads he has to take while walking in the yellow wood, more significantly, it means two different ways of life when one hesitates before the life’s crossroad. Different choices will lead to different futures. For the poet, it also shows his attitude towards poetry creation. “He prefers to take the less-travelled road” su ggests that he doesn’t follow suit but employs the traditional pattern in spite of the influence of modernist innovation Traditionally, this poem has been understood as an inspirational poem, seeming to encouraging people to be self-reliant and not following where others have led. Actually, it does not moralize about choice, it simply says that choice is inevitable but you never know what your choice will mean until you have lived it. This is also the theme of the poem.。

未选择的路作文600字初三英文回答:The Road Not Taken. In Robert Frost's iconic poem, "The Road Not Taken," the speaker encounters a fork in the path and must choose between two paths. The poem explores the theme of choice and its often-unpredictable consequences. The speaker initially contemplates the two roads, both of which "lay in yellow wood." The first road is "grassy and wanted wear," suggesting that it is the more well-traveled path. The second road is "less traveled by," implying that it is less conventional and more adventurous.Faced with this choice, the speaker pauses to consider his options. He realizes that the first road represents the path of conformity and safety, while the second road represents the path of individuality and uncertainty. Thespeaker ultimately decides to take the "road less traveled by," recognizing that its potential for risk anduncertainty is outweighed by its potential for growth and fulfillment. The poem's ending is both ambiguous and profound. The speaker suggests that the choice he made will make all the difference in his life, but he does not know what that difference will be. The poem leaves the reader wondering about the consequences of the speaker's choice and the unknown paths that lie ahead.中文回答:未选择的路。
《未选择的路》英语作文Title: The Road Not Taken: An Exploration in English。
Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" has captivated readers for generations with its timeless exploration of choice, individuality, and the paths we take in life. In this essay, we delve into the depths of this iconic poem, examining its themes, symbolism, and enduring relevance. At its core, "The Road Not Taken" is a meditation on decision-making and its consequences. The speaker finds himself at a crossroads, faced with two diverging paths, both equally appealing yet fundamentally different. As he deliberates on which path to take, he realizes that his choice will shape his future and define his journey. One of the most striking aspects of the poem is its ambiguity. While the speaker ultimately chooses one path over the other, he acknowledges that both paths are equally traveled, indicating that there is no clear distinctionbetween them. This ambiguity mirrors the complexity ofreal-life decisions, where the outcomes are often uncertain and the right path is not always evident.Symbolism plays a crucial role in conveying the poem's themes. The two roads symbolize the choices we encounter in life, each representing a different direction or opportunity. The speaker's decision to take the road "less traveled by" signifies his desire for individuality andself-determination, emphasizing the importance of forging one's own path rather than following the crowd.Furthermore, the imagery employed by Frost adds depth and texture to the poem, inviting readers to visualize the setting and empathize with the speaker's dilemma. The description of the paths winding "in the undergrowth" and disappearing into the "yellow wood" evokes a sense of mystery and exploration, inviting readers to join the speaker on his journey of self-discovery.However, it is essential to recognize that "The Road Not Taken" is not merely a celebration of individualism butalso a reflection on the nature of regret. The speaker acknowledges that he may look back on his decision with a sense of longing, wondering what might have been if he had chosen differently. This acknowledgment of the complexity of human emotions adds depth to the poem, reminding us that every choice we make comes with its own set of consequences and uncertainties. In conclusion, Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" continues to resonate with readers worldwide for its profound exploration of choice, individuality, and the human experience. Through its rich imagery, symbolism, and ambiguity, the poem invites us to contemplate the paths we take in life and the significance of the choices we make along the way. As we navigate our own journeys, may we find inspiration in Frost's words to embrace the roads less traveled and forge our own destinies.。

Iambic tetremeter is a line comprising four iambs.)\\\Symbolism 象征手法:For example, “road” on one hand refers to natural road; on the other hand, it refers to the road of life.\\\\Conclusion:The Road Not Taken is full of philosophical overtones(暗示、弦外之音).This poem should be read as a warning. Man should consider a lot before making choices and reflect over the choices he has made to discover “all the differences”.\\ The poem tries to achieve a universal understanding. In other words, there is no judgment, no specificity, no moral. It allows all readers from all different experiences to relate to the poem. \\The Road Not Taken tells about life choice. Man’s life is metaphorically related to a journey filled with twists and turns. One has to consider a lot before making a wise choice. Though the diverged roads seem identical, they actually lead to different directions, which symbolize different fates.\\第一段;Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,\\And sorry I could not travel both\\And be one traveler, long I stood\\And looked down one as far as I could\\To where it bent in the undergrowth--\\\\分析:“road”is a symbolic use. From the surface meaning,it means the natural road as he can see;from the deep meaning, it means the road of life penetrated in human beings.\\“sorry” expresses the strong feeling of regret. He could only travel one road, and in return to give up the other, which is similar to human choice.\\“long” and the last two lines indicate the poet’s hesitation to which road to take;whereas he still couldn’t make a decision.\\\\Summary: In the first stanza, the speaker describes his position--the conflict between the common easy path and the exceptional challenging one.here are two roads he would like to try out both, but doubts he could do that. \\\\第二段:Then took the other, as just as fair,\\And having perhaps the better claim,\\Because it was grassy and wanted wear;\\Though as for that the passing there\\Had worn them really about the same, \\ 分析:Why it is the “better claim” may be that “it was grassland wanted wear”, which means the path appears to be kept naturally.\\The fact that Frost took this path over the more popular, secure one indicates the type of personality he has, one that does not want to necessarily follow the crowd but do more of what has never been done, what is new and different.\\The path Frost took appears to be different from the other one, but as he thinks about it, he realizes that the two roads have the same characteristics.\\Summary:Frost reports that he decided to take the other path, because it seemed to have less traffic than the first.\\But then he goes on to say that they actually were very similarly worn. \\This stanza reflects our human’s choice. At first you seem to be confused by two perspective facets, finally you realize that whatever choices you make, the results are the same.第三段:And both that morning equally lay\\In leaves no step had trodden black.\\Oh, I kept the first for another day!\\Yet knowing how way leads on to way,\\I doubted if I should ever come back.\\Summary of Stanza 3:The third stanza continues with the cogitation(仔细思考)about the possible differences between the two roads. He claims that maybe he would come back and also walk the first one sometime, but he doubted he would be able to, because in life one thing leads to another and time is short.分析:Frost realizes that the decision is not just a temporary one and he ("doubtedif I should ever come back." )\\This is his common sense speaking and acknowledging that what he chooses now will affect every other choice he makes afterward. Once you have performed an act or spoken a word that crystallizes(具体化,计划成型)who you are, there is no turning back and it cannot be undone.\\ “I” not only refers to Frost himself, but also has a universally symbolic meaning. Each time when a person comes to the point where he has to make a choice, it is new to him, somewhere he has never been and he tends to feel as though no one else had ever been there either.第四段:I shall be telling this with a sigh\\Somewhere ages and ages hence:\\Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—\\I took the one less traveled by,\\And that has made all the difference.\\\分析:“sigh” has two references:a sigh of regret and a sigh of relief.\\“difference”:If it is the relief sigh, then the difference means Frost was glad he took the road he did; if it is the regret sigh, then the difference would not be good, and he would be sighing in regret.\\ The last two lines are ironic:the choice made little or no difference at all, the speaker's protestations to the contrary. \\\Summary of Stanza 4:At the end of the poem the regret hangs over the poem. \\Frost realizes that at the end of his life, "somewhere ages and ages hence", he will have regrets about having never gone back and traveling down the roads he did not take. \\To this man, what was most important, what really made the difference, is that he did what he wanted, even if it meant taking the road less traveled. If he hadn't, he wouldn't be the same man he is now.\\\。
未选择的路英语作文英文回答:Unchosen Path.Life is full of choices, and sometimes we find ourselves standing at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. It can be a daunting and overwhelming experience, as the consequences of our choices can have a significant impact on our lives. However, there is something intriguing and mysterious about the unchosen path, the road not taken. When faced with the unchosen path, we often wonder what could have been. We imagine different scenarios and outcomes, wondering if we made the right decision. This curiosity is a natural human instinct, as we are always seeking new experiences and opportunities. The unchosen path represents the unknown, and it is human nature to be drawn to the unknown. The unchosen path can also teach us valuable lessons. It allows us to reflect on our decisions and evaluate our priorities. Sometimes, we may realize that the path we chose was not the right one for us. In these moments, the unchosen path becomes a reminder of our true desires and aspirations. It serves as a wake-up call, urging us to make changes and pursue our passions. Moreover, the unchosen path can lead to unexpected opportunities and growth. It may open doors that we never knew existed. By taking a different route, we expose ourselves to new experiences, people, and perspectives. These encounters can broaden our horizons and enrich our lives. The unchosen path may lead us to discover hidden talents or passions that we never knew we had.In addition, the unchosen path can also bring about feelings of regret and longing. We may find ourselves constantly wondering "what if?" and wishing we had taken a different path. However, dwelling on these feelings of regret is counterproductive. Instead, we should focus on the present moment and make the most of the path we havechosen. Regretting the unchosen path only hinders our progress and prevents us from fully embracing our current circumstances.中文回答:未选择的路。
《未选择的路》英语作文个人理解After reading The road not takenThe road not taken is a famous poem admired worldwide. After reading this short and simple poem,I'm deeply touched by its profound meanings. Apparently, the poet used ' road' as a metaphor of the choicesthat are of vital importance to our lives. Two roads lead to diverged directions, once you make up your mind; you are destined to go on until the end of your days.I do appreciate the poet's attitude towards life. When he was young, he might neither know much about human joys and sorrows nor have ideas of how tough life could be. But with a heart to pursue freedom, and an ambition to be somebody someday, he decided to choose the road lesstraveled by.I believe that only young people are brave cnough to make such decisions. The adults, who have full access to the complicated reality, may lose their longing for adventures and challenges. Given a chance, most of them should take the more rational, or say, plain way. Then, here comes an interesting paradox. The youth, who really have the intention as well as the power to choose their way, decide to go through difficulties and make greatachievements. However, the adults, who have already suffered from the hardship of life and have no possibility to go back to the crossroad, tend to educate their youth to choose the steady way-which we all know, is where theyouth's rebellions lie. It seems that the adults actually have no valid reason todrive their kids away from the road they have once taken. As a conclusion,I find that all have experienced the inevitable process of choosing their own ways of life, and more likely, they choose the road less taken'. The obstacles on the road do enrich life experiences and make people more mature. Anyway, the poet's idea in this poem is widely accepted. Be brave to choose the road you prefer and march on.You may feel pity for the other road you give up, but you don't have to regret for the rest of your life. Because you follow your inner voice and live your life to the fullest. That is what counts.。

This poem is started from the psychological activity of the writer when he was facing the two roads in the forest, and then lead to a profound philosophy——people must keep cautious when facing choices, and could never come back. The language is and traditional and easy to understand. This paper makes a brief analysis on this poem from three aspects: literary form, writer, and clou.Key words: roads, choice, easy to understand, literary formThe Road Not TakenBy Robert FrostTwo roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claim,Because it was grassy and wanted wear;Though as for that the passing thereHad worn them really about the same,And both that morning equally layIn leaves no step had trodden black.Oh, I kept the first for another day!Yet knowing how way leads on to way,I doubted if I should ever come back.I shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages hence:Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference. The Road Not Taken has 4 stanzas with 5 lines in each, while the form is the traditional 4 iambic feet.
