Unit 3 Festivals教学设计(第1课时)【教学内容】Part 1 & Part 2【教学目标】(一)知识与技能1.学习lunar, moon cake, turkey, native, corn, hunt, catch等生词和短语;2.能通过阅读知晓中秋节、感恩节等节日的相关习俗,并了解中西方文化的差异;3.能在图片的提示下听懂、理解故事。
(二)过程与方法1.以小组合作与情景教学为主,运用游戏帮助学生理解与运用所学知识;2.指导学生通过朗读和听音获取正确的信息,掌握一定的朗读和听音技巧。
(三)情感、态度与价值观帮助学生知晓中西方节日的相关习俗,了解中西方文化的差异。
【教学重点】lunar, moon cake, turkey, native, corn, hunt, catch等生词和短语的学习;在图片的提示下听懂、理解故事。
【教学难点】一些生僻的节日名词和单词的学习;能通过自主阅读听懂、理解故事。
【教学准备】表示不同节日习俗的图片以及单词卡片、教材相配套的录音带、课件【教学过程】Step 1 Warming up老师呈现不同节日图片,并提问:What festival is it? When is it?What do we often do on this day? 引导学生说出对不同节日的了解。
Step 2 Revision邀请学生介绍自己最喜欢的城市。
Step 3 Read and listen1.学生打开课本到第20页,自主阅读两段短文,通过回答问题What festivals are they? 初步了解文章大意。
2.老师提问What do you know about Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving from the passage?学生再次阅读短文,找出相关信息回答问题,进一步理解短文内容。
3.老师播放录音,学生逐句跟读,借助图片,学习lunar, moon cake, turkey等生词和短语。
