The city is home to many skyscrapers, including the famous International Commerce Centre and the Bank of China Tower. At night, the skyline lights up with colorful neon lights, creating a breathtaking view.In addition, Hong Kong is a shopper's paradise. Thecity has a variety of shopping options, from luxury brands to local markets. You can find everything from designer handbags to unique souvenirs. One of my favorite shopping spots is the Ladies' Market in Mong Kok, where you can haggle with vendors for the best deals.Overall, Hong Kong is a city that never sleeps. 香港是自由港，被称为“购物天堂<Shopping paradise>”香港是购物人士喜欢去的地方，绝大多数的货品没有关税，世界各地物资都运来竞销，有些比原产地还廉宜。香港各区都有大型商场，如太古城、沙田新城市广场等等，其内除有大型百货公司之外，还有各类商店和食肆，有些更有游乐设备，是购物和休闲的好去处。有些行业喜集中经营，因而顾客可有更多选择。其中如电脑和相关产品，深水埗地铁站邻近的“高登”和“黄金”商场最集中。家用电器和相机在旺角和铜锣湾较多，但宜向有信誉的商店（如贴有香港旅游协会红帆船标志者）或大型百货公司购买。五金机械店集中在旺角地铁站之广东道的三个街段内。花园街，由旺角道到太子道一段，是水果、时装和日用品摊贩的乐园。过亚皆老街后的通菜街几个街段内，就是出名的“女人街”。其情况和在油麻地天后庙两旁的庙街相似。但后者在晚上且有熟食及算命摊贩混杂，近庙处更有粤曲演唱，俨然一个普罗大众的平民夜总会。
香港人对饮食极为重视，除了以粤菜闻名外，日、韩、台、越、泰、印度及欧洲的菜系亦十分常见，享有美食天堂的称号。 早年香港人习惯上茶楼，早上冲一壶茶、叫两件点心，这经常成为西方人眼中香港饮食文化的典型。受英国影响，有些香港人喜好下午茶，多数吃一件三文治、蛋挞、奶茶咖啡。
在华洋杂处下，香港发展出茶餐厅的独特餐馆，它原本出售一些三文治、咖啡等廉价西式小食，后来再引入各式传统小炒，并自创炒或捞出前一丁、菠萝油、柠七、鸳鸯等，而大牌档及冰室也曾经是非常普遍的食肆。

历史概况
• 香港自中国秦朝起明确成为那时的中原王朝领土（狭义的中原，指今河南一带。广义的中原， 指黄河中下游地区，主要是河南省），前214年（秦始皇二十三年），中国秦朝派军平定百 越，置南海郡，把香港一带纳入其领土，属番禺县管辖。从此时起直至清朝，随着中原文明 向南播迁，香港地区得以逐渐发展起来。中国元朝时属江西行省，元朝时，在香港西南的屯

地名来源
关于香港的地名由来，有三种说法： • 说法一：香港的得名与香料有关。宋元时期，香港在行政上隶属广东东 莞。 从明朝开始，香港岛南部的一个小港湾，为转运南粤香料的集散港，因 转运产在广东东莞的香料而出名，被人们称为“香港”。据说那时香港转运 的香料，质量上 乘，被称为“海南珍奇”，香港当地许多人 也以种香料为业， 香港与其种植 的香料一起，名声大噪。不久这种香料被列为进贡皇帝的贡品， 并造就了当时鼎盛的制香、运香业。后来香料的种植和转运逐渐息微，但香 港这个名称却保留了下 来。 说法二：香港是一个天然的港湾，附近有溪水甘香可口，海上往来的水 手，经常到这里来取水饮用，久而久之，甘香的溪水出了名，这条小溪也就 被称为“香江”，而香江入海冲积成的小港湾，也就开始被称为“香港”。 有一批英国人登上香港岛时就是从这个港湾上岸的，所以他们也就用“香港” 命名整个岛屿。直到今天，“香江”仍然是香港的别称。 说法三：因“香姑”而得名。据说，香姑是一位海盗的妻子，海盗死后， 她就占据了这个小岛。久而久之，人们就把小岛以她的名字为名，称之为 “香港”了。 现在仍有人把香港称作“ 香江” “ 香海” “香岛”“香州” 等。

The Symphony of Lights, a nightly light and sound show, is also a must-see attraction for tourists.Another popular attraction in Hong Kong is the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. The statue stands at 34 meterstall and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Visitors can also take a cable car ride to reach the statue, whichoffers stunning views of the island.For those who love hiking, Hong Kong has plenty oftrails to explore. One of my favorite hikes is the Dragon's Back trail. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and mountains, and is a great way to escape the hustle andbustle of the city.When it comes to food, Hong Kong is a foodie's paradise. From local street food to Michelin-starred restaurants,there is something for everyone.
