翻译

翻译题是高校自主招生测试部分的新增题型，主要考查考生的英译汉能力，要求考生将一篇200到300词的短文译成中文，或在一篇文章中划出若干句子译成中文。高校自主招生的翻译部分主要有一下特点：主要考查考生对文章的理解、基础语法以及常见的句式和短语的掌握和运用。内容专业性不强，不需要专业理论知识。题目内容既没有高难度的新闻翻译、文学翻译，也不涉及科技经贸翻译中的专业知识，只是一般的文章翻译，与其说是测试考生的翻译能力，不如说是测试考生的英语语言能力，尤其是对原文理解能力更确切，因此谈不上翻译的“信、达、雅”标准。

翻译时要通读并透彻理解通篇文章、整个句子。判断句子是简单句还是复杂句，然后弄清句子的主干和修饰成分。要特别注意英语的逻辑思维。最后审核，这是不可缺少的一个重要环节，而且在最后审核时一定要结合整篇文章来进行，这样才能检查出译文在理解和表达上有什么问题，是否有错误和误译，以便及时改正。

用词要规范：尽量使用书面语言，通俗易懂的词。少用俚语、生僻词或陈词滥调，以免影响效果。用词要简洁有力：简洁是为了清晰，译文中多余的词不但不能增强语言的表现力，反而使语言显得累赘。因此翻译时要避免用词重复啰嗦。

北大清华自主招生 用英语译古诗给歌曲挑语病

2009年第一天，北京大学、清华大学同时进行2009年保送生暨自主招生笔试、文艺特长生笔试。两校河南考点都设在郑州大学南校区，全省约400名学生参加了笔试。与高考不同，自主招生题目不仅灵活，而且“另类”，让考生们大呼“想不到”。

北大清华自主招生同时开考

1月1日上午9时，清华和北大自主招生、保送生考试同时在郑州大学南校区开考。

清华大学河南考区负责老师丁青青介绍，自2008年11月以来，全国共有1.3万名学生经过中学推荐和自我推荐的方式申请清华大学2009年保送生和自主招生，经过筛选，3000余名学生幸运地走进清华大学保送生与自主招生的考场。其中河南考生190余人。而今年报考北大自主招生的考生，全国超过了1.5万名，最终近4000人参加了考试，其中河南考生近200人。

清华的笔试有两天，1月1日上午进行的是中英文综合，下午文科考生考数学(文)和历史，理科考生考数学(理)和物理。2日上午考理科综合或文科综合。北大的笔试安排在1月1日，上午考语、数、外，下午文科考历史、政治，理科考物理、化学。每个科目分值100分，总分500分。

今年两校自主招生的优惠幅度都高于往年。北大自主招生比例将不再设定5%上限，招生比例预扩为10%左右，获得北大自主招生资格的学生优惠幅度扩大到降分30分以内。2009年清华大学认定的自主招生一般给予30分之内的优惠，对于有特殊潜能的考生，优惠幅度将不受30分限制。

清华：用英语翻译杜甫古诗

我省参加两所国内顶尖高校自主招生测试笔试的考生，都是来自我省各个高中的拔尖学生，不过今年两校的“怪题”却难倒了许多考生。

“清华的语文和英语在同一张卷子上，用英语来翻译古文，我还是头一次做这样的题。”中英文综合考完，来自郑州外国语学校的徐重说，考题里选了《汉书·艺文志》中的一段话，“小说家者流，盖处于稗官，街谈巷语，道听途说者之所造也……”先用中文解释其含义，再用英文概括其大意，并用英文评论其观点。
