In the video, there are some people in special clothes. Who are they? New word: Volunteers2. What do the volunteers do in the video?Step 2 Work on 1a1. Look at these pictures, there are many ways to help peopleA. You could help clean up the city parks.B. You could visit the old people in an old people’s home.2. Then list other ways you could help people.At last, ask some students to share their ideas with the class.Write any new words or phrases on the board and explain these words to the class, if necessary.Step 3 work on 1b .Call the studen ts’ at tention to the sentences in the box in Activity lb. Ask students to read the sentences by themselves. Explain any new words and phrases in it.Make sure that all the students can understand the meanings of the four sentences.Ask them to listen carefully and number the ways the boy and girl could help others and check the answers.Step 4 work on 1c (pair-work)Read the instructions with the class.Call their attention to the example in Activity la.
