二、教案背景
学生已在四年级学过职业名称doctor, nurse, driver, farmer, teacher和baseball player，对它们的表述有印象，相对而言，有一定的词汇量，故可以将知识面拓展开一些，容量稍大点。本单元的教学内容与学生的实际生活息息相关，因而本课时的教学内容对学生来说不难理解。关键是日常交际用语在实际生活中的准确运用，而且小学生有着爱模仿，好表现的特点，只要在教学时，通过创设情景，游戏等形式提高反复率，从而就能帮助学生准确表达。

2、内容分析：
这个单元主要围绕职业展开话题，重点是使学生掌握一些常见职业的英语表达，并就此展开相关讨论。在第三册中学生已经接触到几个职业单词，也学会了用“what’s your
father/mother？”来询问职业。因此本单元的重点句型：what does your father/mother
do？对学生来说要掌握并不是难点，难点应该是综合运用各种已学过的句型讨论父母的职业并进行交流。本课时是《小学英语PEP》（人教版）第七册的第五单元第一课时的教学内容，这部分内容有六个表示职业的新单词，还有句型What does he/she/ your
father/your mother do? He's/She's a/an….以及就此而展开的与职业有关的表达自己理想的问题：What are you going to be? I am going to be a/an….是四年级上册Unit 6 B Let's learn的延伸，为学生进入初中阶段与此类似的话题的学习打下扎实的基础。并在此基础之上培养学生热爱劳动、尊重他人劳动的情感。本课内容是本单元的小学-英语-上册-打印版
