我省规定,从2014年起,外语考试科目中的听力考试不再纳入夏季高考统一考试内容,外语分值会从150分降至120分。虽然学考尚未结束,但是3年后的高考英语考试已成为初三家长们热议的话题。

6月13日下午,初三学考思想品德、历史合卷考试正在进行。在山东省实验中学西侧一家辅导机构的教室里,十几位陪考的家长被请到了这里,听一堂关于英语学习的讲座。

“大家可能都已经知道,2014年以后,英语听力要取消,分值也降低30分。这是不是说英语不如从前重要了?”主讲的女老师一上来就抛出这个问题。她给出的答案无疑是否定的,“分值降低,对英语的重视程度不能降低”。

对于听力测试取消一事,初三多位家长认为可以减轻学生的负担。赵衡珠是育贤中学一位考生的家长。他说,女儿平时的英语成绩在113分左右,在班里算是高分,但是放到考省实验的学生中间就只能说是一般了。他觉得听力取消对孩子学习影响不大。“知识点和内容并没减少,该怎么学还得怎么学。负担减轻了倒是肯定的。”他说,无论是150分,还是120分,都得好好学,争取高考时得个高分。赵先生的女儿此前从没报过英语辅导班,他打算这个暑假让孩子进衔接班补补英语。

“高考听力取消了,我儿子肯定不会天天听了。毕竟从家长到孩子,我们学英语还是为了应考。”李先生的儿子在山大附中读书,今年报考了省实验中学。“从初一开始,英语老师就要求学生每天听15分钟的听力,而且要家长监督、签字。”李先生说,儿子听的内容基本都是课文的内容,很少有主动挑选的感兴趣的题材。和很多家长一样,李先生担心在减轻负担的同时,英语教学重新恢复“哑巴”英语,学生除了考试和阅读,既不能听,也不能说。

当然,也有一些家长对这样的“减负”并不领情。孙先生的儿子是济南实验初中的毕业生,高考英语分值从150分降至120分让他有些不开心。孙先生认为,英语分值不应该降低。

采访中,家长们特意区分了英语应考和应用的区别。李先生说,他从事的工作涉及到很多国际项目,对英语的重要性深有体会。“英语和其他学科不一样,就是一门与人沟通、交流的工具,不是专业的能力和学问。就像计算机一样,你有再多的知识和专业能力,没有工具也很难发挥。在国外,你不会英语真是寸步难行。”为了让儿子体会到学英语的重要性和在英语应用方面的差距,今年暑假,他准备带儿子去国外走一遭,感受不一样的语言环境。“我想让他意识到,为了应考学的那点英语根本不够,看能不能激发他学英语的兴趣。” “高考不考听力了,但是你不能光会考试,还得会听会说,而且尽量要多掌握几门语言。”在赵衡珠看来,随着中国经济的发展,越来越多的外企会进驻中国。“要是既不会说,也听不懂,人家那些企业会用你吗?学好外语不会吃亏。”他说。
