Test 1
The Influence of Mobile Phone on Students As is described
in the picture, a teacher asks a student to listen carefully. Instead
of putting down his mobile phone immediately, the student
thinks that he needs to send a message. Nowadays mobile
phones are becoming more and more popular among students.
They have been affected a lot from these gadgets.
Apparently, the impacts of mobile phones on students are
diverse. For one thing, it’s convenient for students to get in
touch with their parents, who want them to carry mobile phones
for the sake of safety. In the parents’minds, mobile phone is a
tracking tool to know the whereabouts of their children. For
another, using mobile phone is a distraction to students during
school hours and it also gives teachers so much trouble in their
classrooms. Sometimes students even use mobile phones to
cheat in tests.
In conclusion, mobile phones could have both good and bad
effects on students. Therefore, parents need to think it over
before making a decision to purchase mobile phones for their
children. Moreover, students should learn how to use the mobile
phones in a proper way.
Test 2
On the Importance of Real-name Ticketing System As
graphically depicted in the above picture, Zhang San used his ID
card to buy the train ticket and the scalper couldn’t resell him a
ticket at an inflated price. With the emergence of real-name
ticketing system, we are supposed to ponder its impacts.
New as the system is, it is a good way to regulate ticket sale and crack down on scalpers. Moreover, the system makes tickets
easier to buy and helps solve the problem of ticket shortages. In
addition, losing train tickets no longer means losing seats with
the adoption of this
system. Those who lose train tickets can regain new tickets
to use the seats they originally booked after showing their ID
cards and ticket information. However, we should not turn a blind
eye to the flaws of the system. For instance, the real-name system
for ticket may lead to the information disclosure of ticket buyers.
In short, China Railway Corporation still needs to roll out the
measures to improve the real-name ticketing system as well as to
protect the interests of real-name ticket holders.
Test 3
Writing
“There isn’t anything noble about being superior to
another person. True nobility is in being superior to the person
you once were.”That means meaningless comparison with other
people is not nobility; the true one is comparing with oneself.
Based on this, I think modesty is true nobility.
People have various kinds of life, so being superior to
another person makes no sense, let alone being noble. For
example, our late respectful leader Liu Shaoqi often interacted
with workers and farmers, saying that the difference of various
kinds of work lay in different task allocations, not in that one is
superior to another. Although he was in high authority, he still
stayed modest, treating everybody equally, no matter which class
they belong to. This is why he has been, up to now, respected
and commemorated by Chinese people and even people in some
other countries.
If you are modest, you can be respected by others. If you think yourself as a Mr. know-it-all, you may become short-sighted
and conceited. Modesty is the secret to make progress. One that
is modest is not necessarily noble, but modesty surely is a
principal quality for a nobleman.
Test 4
Writing
As for life, it is how you react to it rather than what happens
to you that counts. This can be best echoed by the saying “Life
is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to
it.”Indeed, it is more often that you are defeated by yourself than
by your life.
We are living in an ever-changing world and we may
encounter some unexpected situations, including natural
disasters and personal hardship. We’ve heard about many cases
that some miners miraculously survived several days after being
trapped underground due to worksite accidents. It is their strong
will to live that has supported them to hold on until the rescuers
come to help them. By contrast, there are some people who are
not brave enough to face the failures or difficulties in their life.
Whenever they meet with a setback, they just shrink back.
Therefore, it is often impossible for those people to get over the
difficulties and learn.
Generally speaking, life treats everyone fairly. You may lose
something at a time and then you will gain something else at
another time. No matter what life changes happen to you, what
you should do is just to react to it in a positive way.
