Warm up

T: Let’s make a chant just like “ good, better, best. Fat, fatter, fattest.…”
Ⅱ.Presentation
Step1
(Show a picture of Shang Hai and ask the students to introduceit. )
T: This is a picture of Shang Hai. Who want to describe it?
S: It’s very big.
S: It’s very beautiful.
S:…… .
T: Yes, and it’s the biggest city in China. (learn the word “city”.)
T: Show a picture of beijing, and ask the students “Which city is more beautiful, Beijing ang
Shanghai?” ( say the sentence slowly again and again and arouse the students to answer .)
S: …… .
T: Show many parts of two beautiful pictures and ask the students to discuss. Encourage them to
say “ I think xxx is more beautiful than xxx. ”
Step2
T: “Let ’s divide into eight groups. Group one will travel to Beijing. Group two will …. .” please discuss again how to get there and what is more beautiful and more famous.
S: (Later) Students reported the results of their group.
Step3
T: Who wants to Shanghai?
S: I do.
T: Do you know the most famous tower in Shanghai? ( show the picture of tower and learn it.) T: “ Shanghai has the most famous Tvtower in China.” Write “the most
famous ” on the
blackboard.
Ask the students to repeat the sentence more and more.
T: Show three or more pictures and say “ I think xxx is the most beautiful city . I think xxx is
the most famous city in China.”

The students can imitate the sentences I have given to make new sentences.
Step4
The lesson of teaching.
T: Look at a map of China and listen to the tape. Anser the question: “ What are they talking about?”

Then ask the students to read the lesson loudly. Make a dialogue like it and act it in the class.
Ⅲ Consolidation.
T: Show many food with the word “ delicious”. Show some places of interest with “ famous”.
