Step 1 Listen and repeat

Listen and repeat the numbers. Get the students to learn how to read the numbers: thousand,

billion, and million.

Step 1 Lead in

Review the key language points in this module by having a short dialogue with

the students. (详见素材一导入一)

Step 2 Grammar

1．Work in pairs. Ask the students to read the large numbers in Activity 1, then

listen to the tape and pay attention to the large numbers.

2．Tell the students to read the questions in Activity 3 and then look at the

chart and answer the questions.

3．Let the students complete the passage in Activity 4, then discuss how to use

articles and write them down.

Step 3 Vocabulary

1．Ask the students to complete the sentences in Activity 5 and review how to

make comparisons between two things.

2．Ask the students to go over the passage in Unit 2 first. Then, have them look

at the diagram in Activity 6 and complete the missing information.

一、题材内容

本模块以人口为话题，重点探讨城市化进程当中人口聚集带来的问题，并对城市生活和乡村生活各自利弊进行了简要对比。对于中国这样一个人口基数大，增长速度快的人口大国，在发展经济的过程中不能不关注人口问题造成的影响。因此，在中学英语教学中提出关注人口，关注城市化进程所面临的问题的思路对青少年的成长是具有现实意义的。

二、教学目标

1） 语言知识：
