第一讲主要是和大家介绍职称英语等级考试的特点，如何正确理解考试大纲，大纲规定和要求,以及职称英语等级考试的题型等. ﻫ一，专业类别及等级的划分ﻫ“全国专业技术人员职称英语等级考试大纲"规定：职称英语等级考试分为四个专业类别：综合与人文类、理工类、卫生类和财经类。

其中每个专业类别又各分成A、B、Ｃ三个等级。

需要指出的是，虽然职称英语考试分成四个专业类别,这几个类别考试的题型、题量、试题的难易度完全一致，只是考试的内容有所差别。

ﻫ职称英语等级考试所涉及的词汇、短语主要根据考试大纲所附的词汇表，在实际考试中，凡是超出大纲词汇表以外的词汇一般都给出中文意思。

ﻫ一般外语考试中均有对考生语法知识的检查.职称英语等级考试是否也考语法呢?大纲明确指出:考试重点是考查应试者的阅读理解能力。

不直接考语法。

所谓不直接考语法，就是不像其他类型的考试那样要求考生做与语法有关的多项选择题、改错题等。
