爱意味着永远不会说“找工作去”我和我大学时的恋人结婚将近24年了。
那时候我并没有意识到比尔让我最倾心的创业精神竟然是引起无比兴奋和深深焦虑的不竭源泉。
正是经济大萧条使我明白了，所有的完美计划和梦想都可能在远强于我们自身的强大力量下改变。
正是我们在这个动荡分化时期的所作所为才能说明我们到底是怎样的人。
我的丈夫？在他频繁转换工作的那几个月里，我发现他喜欢清理车库。
在我们获得了商科硕士学位以后，比尔和我跟随第一波技术大发展的浪潮来到硅谷安顿下来。
我的工作是市场营销和广告策划，而他在一家新成立的公司找到了一份工作，这家公司很快就由Cisco System收购。
他留了下来，并帮助Cisco建立起了无线网络业务。

看看Facebook, Twitter, YouTube吧：难道硅谷又起火了吗？但是这种低迷滑坡却伤害了每一个人，包括那些高速发展的科技公司。
Google重组了，很快比尔受雇所做的工作也变得不再那么令人振奋了。
他决定冒个险，辞职不干工作了。
我很焦虑。
难道他疯了么？这个世界在萎缩，而他也不会再变得年轻。

比较自己的翻译和庄绎传先生的, 学习差异所在.

这里很想用四字词来表达explode 的意思，想了半天没想好，只想出“尤为突显”，似乎还凑合。
参考译文中用“大大地增加”也不错。
我的译文：不过在过去的三十年中，贸易在美国经济中的重要性尤为突显。
参考译文：但在过去三十年中，我们经济贸易的重要性大大地增加了。

参考译文中没有体现“just”的意思，我用了“还只”，是想和下一句连起来。
“the US economy”: 参考译文是”整个美国经济“，添加了”整个“修饰语，很赞。

参考译文：在1970 年，双边贸易的总值占了整个美国经济的13%。

赞一下参考译文的”上升到“，比我枯燥的”达到“形象多了。
be more than twice: 是两倍多，即增加一倍多。
我到底还是算不对数 sigh。
我的译文：而去年，便已达到 28%，增加了两倍之多。
参考译文：去年上升到 28%，比 1970 年增加了一倍多。

In just the last seven years：这里的 just 我看来是理解错了，译成了”短短七年间“，其实并没有哪里说时间长短。
只是说刚过去的这七年。
jobs supported by US exports：这里的 supported 我漏译了。
参考译文译的是”创造的“，和”就业机会“搭配大家都不陌生。
想提的是，如果是中译英”创造就业机会“，你会怎么译？会想到用support 吗？可能会想到用”add“，或者’create’, 亦或”increase“。
这里插一句政府报告中的例句：
新增市场主体恢复快速增长，创造了大量
就业岗位。
The number of new market entities
began growing rapidly again, leading to

我的译文：在短短七年间，美国出口（商品和服务）的就业机会就增加了 400 万，达到 1100 万。
