【辨析】when与what time—When do you go to school?你什么时候去上学?—I go to school from Monday to Friday.我周一到周五去上学。

—When/What time do we have dinner,Mom?妈妈,我们什么时间/几点吃晚饭?—At 7:00.七点。

2.My birthday is on May 2nd.我的生日是五月二日。

(教材第43页)on May 2nd中的介词on可以省略,May 2nd意为“五月二日”,在表示日期时,要注意以下几点:在美式英语中,记载方法是按月、日、年的顺序,“日”与“年”中间要用逗号隔开,书写时“日”可以写成序数词形式,也可直接写成阿拉伯数字形式,但读时一定读作序数词。

April 10th,1997=4/10/1997即1997年4月10日。

在英式英语中,记载方法是按日、月、年的顺序,其他同上面所讲相同。

10th April,1997=10/4/1997即1997年4月10日。

3.Happy birthday!生日快乐!(教材第44页)此句的应答语为Thank you.。

happy adj.意为“愉快的;高兴的”。

常用短语有:be happy for sb.为某人感到高兴be happy with/about sb./sth.对某人、某事满意be happy to do sth.高兴做某事4.—How old are you?你多大了?—I’m thirteen.我十三岁。

(教材第44页)(1)这是询问年龄的常用语,其同义句是:What’s your age?(2)回答“how old”的句型通常为“主句+谓语+基数词(+years old),所以I’m fifteen.”是简略形式。

—How old is your brother?你哥哥(弟弟)多大?—He is nineteen.他19岁了。
