教学内容

《义务教育课程标准实验教科书译林版小学英语》六年级上册第七单元第一教时（Story time）

教材分析

本单元以“Protect the Earth”为题，情境线明确，告诉我们随着经济发展，我们赖以生存的地球污染越来越严重、资源越来越紧缺。呼吁我们从我做起，保护地球。本课时教学内容为story time第一课时，核心语法句型为“We use...to…”及情态动词“should 、shouldn’t”。虽然情态动词should 与shouldn’t学生已接触，但运用起来还是比较生疏，所以在本课处理上仍定位为新授知识。教师可在教学活动设计环节上多加操练，帮助孩子熟练掌握，运用其用法。

文本叙述性较强，篇幅较长、生词较多，相对于对话文本、故事文本，略显枯燥。教师如果按以往“听、说、读、写”模式去并列处理，必然导致教学死气沉沉，学生丧失学习积极性与主动性。这就需要教师创设情境，采用多种教学手段激发学生的学习兴趣，帮助孩子学为所用，联系生活实际，运用语言宣传环保心声。因此在文本的处理上，我尝试采用“交结构、用结构”。第一段“Save water”，提炼出本课两大主线问题“Why should we...？”“How to...？”，帮助学生生成结构，并将其作为后三段学习的载体，帮助学生自主梳理文章脉络。在后三段文本的处理上，教师本着“以生为本”，从学生实际出发，遵循学生的认知规律，由浅入深，逐步下放不同的学习任务。在此过程中，教师充分相信学生，通过多种形式，如：两两对话、小组讨论、编演汇报、辩论陈述等来帮助学生熟练的运用知识，训练学生发散思维的能力，深入创新，提高学生的综合能力。

学情分析

学生在四年级上册第四单元学过情态动词can的用法，教师利用知识迁移，帮助学生了解情态动词should的用法，学生能很快学会使用。此外，文本由“节约水”、“节约能源”、“节约木材”、“不要用太多的塑料”四个板块组成，其中“节约水”这个板块学生能激活旧知，说出如：“wash clothes”、“brush teeth”、“turn off the tap”等短语，教师可从这个“突破口”打开学生的话语，为下面三个板块的学习铺垫。 教学目标
