仁爱版七年级英语(上)Unit 2 Topic 1 Section A

I have a small nose.

Good morning, my dear judges and teachers. It’s my great honor to have the opportunity to share my teaching ideas with you here. My topic is taken from Section A, Topic1, Unit2 of Book 1, Grade Seven. I will analyze this lesson from the following six parts.

Part Ⅰ My Understanding of the Lesson

一.Analysis of the Teaching Material

This topic is mainly about people’s appearances, which is to help Ss how to describe people’s appearances. These conform t o the requirement of the English curriculum Standard.

From the arrangement of the teaching material, this section is an important part of this unit giving a good opening for Ss to describe what they look like and what the others look like, and have the chance to learn more about themselves. It’s helpful to raise learning interest of Ss and also help Ss communicate with each other.

二.Teaching Aims

According to the New English Curriculum Criterion, teaching material and my Ss, my teaching aims contain the following.

1、Knowledge Aims:

①To enable the Ss to master the new words:guess, have, has, know, right, small, big, round, long, wide, head, hair, eye, ear, face, nose, mouth and neck.

②To master the key sentences:

I/You have a small nose.

We/They have long hair.

She/He/It has a big head.

–Do you have big eyes?

–Yes, I do.

2. Ability Aims:

①.Mainly train the Ss’ abilities of listen ing and speaking.

②.To develop the Ss’ ability of communication by learning the useful structures.

3.Emotional Aims:

①.To stimulate their interest in learning English and help them build up self-confidence in English learning.

②.To cultivate the Ss’ compet ition consciousness and co-operation spirits.

三.Key Points and Difficult Points

1. Key Points

①.New words

②.The grammar structure: present simple: to have

③.To help the Ss to communicate with each other and enable them to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

2. Difficult Points

①.Help Ss to master the usage of present simple: to have and have to describe people’s appearances correctly.

②.To develop their communicative ability.

Part Ⅱ Analysis of the Students

As we all know, we communicate with others anywhere and anytime. And we have to describe the other’s appearances for somebody. Therefore, it’s very important for us to master how to describe people’s appearances. You know, all of my Ss come from the countryside; they ha ve few words and sentences to describe a person. What’s more, they are very shy to speak English in public. So according to my Ss’ level, I’ll try to provide a better English learning surrounding for the Ss and help them as possible as I can.

Part Ⅲ Teaching Methods and Aids

①. Teaching Methods

We all know that, it’s very important to cultivate Ss’ good sense of the English language. So in this lesson, I’ll mainly use these three kinds of teaching methods: Situational Teaching Method, Communicative Teaching Method and Task-based Teaching Method. Be sure to make the Ss as the real masters in class and the teacher myself as the director.
