Unit 3 Could you please tell me

where the restrooms are?

一教学目标

语言目标:

1、学会问路以达到购物的目的;

2、学会为他人指明方向和路线。

3、学会利用活动和购物场来表达自己的爱好和看法。

.知识目标

1、学习礼貌地询问信息;

Could you please tell me where the restrooms are?

2、学习含宾语从句的间接问句,对宾语从句进行归纳、总结。

通过帮助别人来培养乐于助人的良好思想品德。

宾语从句及直接引语和间接引语

所谓宾语从句就是一个句子在另一个主句中作宾语,即宾语从句是用句子作宾语。

当我们引用别人的话时,可以用别人的原话,也可以用自己的话把意思转述出来。如果是引用原话,被引用的部分就叫作直接引语,否则称为间接引语。

四.教学步骤

Step,1

1、宾语从句的结构。

1)由that引导的宾语从句。She said that she would come.

2)由连词if或whether引导。翻译为“是否”,从句用陈述句语序

Do you know if Mr Smith is at home?

3)由连接代词who, whom, whose, which, what或连接副词when, where, how, why等引导。从句用陈述句语序。

Do you know who broke the window?

I don’t know when I shall finish

4)某些形容词之后的从句有时也被看作是宾语从句。如:afraid,

wure, sorry, glad, worried, angry, confident.

I’m sorry that I’m late again.

They were angry that they had lost the chance.

2、宾语从句的时态一致

主句是过去时,宾语从句要用过去时态;主句是现在时或将来时,宾语从句则该用什么时态就用什么时态。

He told me that it would rain tomorrow.

No one knows if he will come at all.

注意:

a. 如果宾语从句陈述的是客观真理、事实,其时态不受上述限制,可用一般现在时。

The teacher told us (that) the earth is round.

b. 宾语从句若含有or not,只能用whether,若宾语从句中出现否定式,一般只用if,如:

I don’t know whether he will come or not.

c. 宾语从句引导词是when, where, who, why, which, what, how等词,可用疑问词+不定式变复合句为简单句。

I don’t know what I shall do.----- I don’t know what to do.

d. 若主句的谓语是think, believe,要否定就否定think。

I think he is right. ---- I don’t think he i

Step2、Presentation

介绍目标语言:Can you tell me where the main office? Could you

tell me how to get the library?

(1) Ask students to pretend they are new to this school. Say, you

need to ask teachers and other students where to fine places like the

library. Let’s practice some polite ways to ask for the library. Let’s

practice some ways to ask for information.

how to get to the library? 板书画线句子,请学生齐声朗读。 Practice both the “Can you tell me where……” and the . “ Could

you tell me how to get to …” forms.

3、Teaching and Practice

(1) 学生看书本上1a的街区图,让学生说出每个地方的名称,问:

“What kind of places is this? What do they sell thee? Do we have one in

our community? 按要求进行练习,检查学生的进展。

(2) 1b首先帮助学生明确本题的要求。接着进行听力练习。

(3) 1c两人小组活动。让学生运用刚刚学习的目标语言。

(4) 2a, 2b听力训练。这个练习训练学生使用目标语言。

首先显示课本插图,利用课本的图片介绍新单词。

学生读一遍方框中的句子,理解每句话的意思。听录音,根据录音内容按2a要求,让学生把听到句子按顺序写出来。

再听录音,完成2b的任务。把路线图画出来。

1. Reading and practice

通过阅读使学生更好地使用目

(1) 版书:advantages disadvantages,请学生用他们自己的话或举例解释这个词的意思。

What are some advantages and disadvantages to owning a car ?

(2) 学生朗读短文,把去商业区的利弊列出来,培养学生搜集信息,归类信息的能力。

① Reading the instructions. Help students give example of advantages and disadvantages from their own lives.

② Point out the blanks lines under the words Advantages and

Disadvantages below the interview. Say, you will write your answers in

these blanks.

③ Read the first two sentences at the top of the article. explain that

the interviewer will talk to several teenagers.

④ Ask students to read the interview on their own.

⑤ Then ask students to read the interview again and write the

advantages and disadvantages.

(3) 讲解课文,强调本单元的目标语言。同时检查学生的答案。最后让学生听录音,模仿朗读课文。

2. Consolidation and Extension

任务一:你在什么地方打发时光?

让学生四人一组进行讨论,你经常和你的朋友到什么地方闲逛。用Where do you usually hang out with friends? At your house? At school?

At a mall? 让他们进行讨论,对去每一个地方的利弊进行辩论,并说出自己的理由。

任务二:方向大挑战

向学生提供一张本地地图或一张村示意图,学生四人小组活动,学生先把自己想去的地方写在一张纸上,其中一个学生按指定的出发地点,说自己要走的线路,其他同学猜他要去的地方,猜对的同学得5分,依次轮流说出自己要走的路线,看谁分数最高。

(3) 在第三层有一间书店。 (4) 乘坐电动扶梯到第二层,然后右转。

2、熟读3a的对话

3、复习已经学习过的形容词。

4、写一段短文,描写从车站到你们学校的路如何走最近。

1. Warm – up.

Let’s say the words! 用一个布猴子展示:Now let’s play a game.

We’re going to say a description word one by one.

2. Presentation

When you want to go to some place, first, you must know what kind

of place it is and whether you should go there or not, 展示restroom,

museum, restaurant, park, subway, mail等场所的图片,引入本课所学内容。

3. Teaching and Practice

教学1a

把1a中的形容词和表格版书,学生朗读方框中的形容词,说说那些是会的那些是不会的,对学生不会的进行解释。指导学生填写表格,让学生说说自己的答案。
