通过Section A 的学习，让学生初步了解了成功人士的生活经历，及学习有关职业的英文表达方式， Section B则是在Section A的基础上，通过让学生根据教材所提供的名人的过去生活经历的学习，谈论自己和别人的成就，并学会介绍自己和周围人的生活经历。

Unit5 When was he born?教材分析:教材主要采用任务形教学模式,融汇话题、交际功能和语言结构。

在提高学生听、说、读、写技能的基础上发展综合语言运用能力。

面向全体学生，并关注学生情感，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和动机。

主要是学习如何介绍自己的出生年，并学会如何询问他人以及阐述自己的过去的经历。

学情分析：所教学生进校时英语水平参差不齐，虽然经过一段时间的学习，但仍存在差距。

要面向全体学生就要把开始的难度降到最低，帮助学生克服畏难心理。

并且要把每个环节练透，作好层层的铺垫工作。
