Module 3 Sports 教案Unit 1 Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis. 一、教案背景学生课前准备:①小组内相互预习新单词②各小组派代表讨论自己喜欢的体育运动。
③利用网络资源收集最新体育信息,能将自己收集的信息与其他同学共享。
二、教学目标1.To understand the conversation about sports;2.To understand the compari son of sports;3. To talk about the sports that one likes and give reasons, using compa ratives.三、教材分析本模块以学生熟悉和喜爱的体育运动为主题,结合了学习体育活动的开展及奥运会的相关内容,激发学生学习兴趣。
可采用与实践相结合的学习策略,提高对文章的理解力。
此外,也可利用这次教学机会,提高学生团体意识,鼓励有运动天赋的学生发挥自己的特长,为班级、为学校增光,进一步提高班级凝聚力。
教学重点:1. To understand the conversation about sports;2. To understand the comparison of sports.教学难点:To talk about the sports that one likes and give reasons, using comparatives.教具:Tape recorder, video, PPT, multimedia四、教学过程Step 1 warming up and pre-reading1.Ask the students two questions:Do you like sports?Do you know any sports?2. Let the students look at some words about sports.设计意图:由问题引出学生对运动的兴趣,自然而然教授生词,使新知识简单易懂,课堂气氛轻松活跃。
Step 2 Match the words with the pictures.1. Ask the students to read the balls in activity2.2. Match and check.3. Listen and number the sports as you hear them.设计意图:第一步的顺利延伸,单词连图片是对单词的巩固。
接着做听力排序,趁热打铁,使学生的能力更上一个台阶。
Step 3 Listen and answer the questions.1. T: Maybe you like doing some sports after school, but I like watching sports news on TV. Do you like it ? Now, To ny and Betty are watching TV. Let’s listen and find out what they are talking about.2. S: They’re talking about sports.设计意图:对课文的处理先通过教师介绍,使学生对内容初步感知,继而带着简单问题听录音,既锻炼了听力也为下面的学习打下基础。
Step 4 Read the dialogue and check the true sentences. Then find the difficulties in the text.1.This week’s match is more exciting than last week’s. T2. Tony played table tennis yesterday. F3. 在读对话的同时划出不理解的短语及句子,为下一环节讲解知识点做好铺垫。
Step5 Language notes:1. Check the answers in Step 4;2. Ask the students to say their difficulties, exp lain them. And show some important expressions.设计意图:先让学生提问,老师回答,如果有学生没有问到的重点内容,老师可以适当补充,学生记忆深刻Step 6 Read and act.1. Ask the students to read the dialogue in roles loudly;2. Ask them to act it out, choose the best group.设计意图:读后表演是对对话的一个提升,考验学生对知识点及对文章内容的深刻理解。
这一环节把课堂交还给学生,有效提高了课堂气氛及效率。
此外,学生以小组形式上台表演,团队合作精神也得到提高。
Step 7 See some pictures to understand the adjectives and comparatives.1. Use sporting pictures to help students to understand the adjectives.2. Give them two pictures, ask them to describe them with comparatives.设计意图:此环节通过大量练习让学生理解形容词、副词及比较级的用法。
鼓励学生多用比较级造句,在表扬与纠错中获得新知。
Step 8 Exercises.1. First do some basic questions.2. Then check the answers and give some explanation, especially the senior high school examination questions.设计意图:趁热打铁,有针对性地选择题型让学生多说多练,尤其是中考题,更有其代表性,可以开阔学生的视野,消除对中考题的恐惧感。
Step 9 Work in pairs.1. Talk about the sports you like.---Hey, Bruce. Which sport do you like, swimming or running?---I like swimming. It’s more r elaxing than running.2. Ask the students to read out with these comparatives and then choose the best group.设计意图:此活动将文章与语法合理地融为一体,以对话的形式体现学生对新知识点的理解与把握。
不仅活跃了课堂气氛,也能够看出学生对新语法的驾驭能力。
教师只需稍加指点,便可事半功倍。
Step 10 Homework .1. Write a passage about your favourite sport.设计意图:是对本单元及本模块的汇报总结,巩固知识的基础上提高学生兴趣。
五、组员建议:本单元通过大明、托尼、贝蒂三人在家观看电视足球比赛节目时的一段对话,对比了他们各自对观看比赛和参加比赛的感受,以自然的语境导入了部分双音节和多音节形容词的比较级的表达方式。
表达自己对运动的喜好与形容词比较级是本模块的重点,应着重注意学生的掌握情况,及时调整第二单元的设计思路及方法。
