这是一节听说课,话题为谈论自然地理之最。
教材内容1a的主题图呈现了珠穆朗玛峰、尼罗河、里海以及撒哈拉沙漠四幅图,从而引出该部分的重点----自然地理之最的相关数据。
1a部分重点突出如何用含有大数字的度量结构表达这些地理信息。
活动1b的听力材料呈现了描述这四个地方的比较级和最高级结构,学生通过听后填空来熟悉这些结构的含义和用法。
活动1c通过对话活动来让学生结对用相关信息进行控制性的语言操练。
课本上的文本内容看似不多,但是要学习的知识点却不少,因此在实际教学中,我根据学生的情况对教学内容进行了适当的调整。
二、学情分析学生方面:本课教学对象是初二年级学生,经过了初中近两年的学习,他们已经具备了基本的会话能力,有一定的词汇积累,并具备了基本的听力能力。
本班学生学习英语的兴趣浓,学习程度相对较好,并且敢于在课堂上积极的进行表达。
学生在初一上学期已经学会朗读百以内的数字,如何在此基础上朗读更大的数字是本课的一个重点和难点。
在表达自然地理之最时要使用比较级和最高级,学生在初二上学期已有两个单元的学习,但是本单元的重点是让学生在已有的基础上,熟练掌握as…as/序数词+比较级/one of+最高级/a little/alot/much+比较级等用法,所以在教学中应该给学生创设出情景,让学生最大限度的使用以上句型来表达。
另外,描述事物的度量结构的句型既是本课时的一个新学内容也是本课时的重点。
三、教学目标1. 知识目标a. 学生能够借助thousand/million/billion朗读大数字。
b. 学生能够正确使用:how high is Qomolangma? It’s 8844.43 meters high 等句型问答事物的长、高、深、面积等。
c. 学生能够使用as..as,序数词+最高级,one of +最高级,a little/a lot/much+比较级等结构描述自然地理之最。

学生已经具备一定的阅读理解的能力,也有更好的逻辑思维与创新思维能力。
但是本文篇幅较长,对于大部分学生而言具有一定的阅读难度。
教学目标:1.获取大熊猫在成都大能猫繁育研究基地生活的基本信息,梳理、概括文中提到的大熊猫濒危的原因,以及保护大熊猫的方法;2.描述大熊猫的基本信息、大熊猫濒危的原因、保护大熊猫的方法。
