而运用英语能力正是学生所欠缺的,所畏惧的,所以做好这一题目对于考生取得理想的英语成绩至关重要。
在教学过程中我发现学生在写作文普遍存在以下几种情况:1、词汇量小;2、单词运用的能力不强,特别是经常不分词性,生搬硬套;3、不分动词时态;4、句子结构不完整;5、写作文经常是先想中文再翻译成英语,往往词不达意,让人一头雾水。
针对这些情况,我在平时教学中特别进行了以下的训练:
一、在教授完每一单元的新单词后,给学生布置有关的词法练习
通过词法练习,可以帮助学生巩固单词的记忆,同时也慢慢注意到单词在句子当中的词性和用法,不同词性的单词在句子结构中往往应该处于什么位置,充当什么成分。
句子能写通顺了,我往往会引导学生注意如何用更多不同的词汇或者句子来表达相同的意思。
每个新单词的句子翻译,经常都有学生用不同的句子来表达,尽管错落百出,但我却非常支持鼓励他们去这样做,这样可以提高他们的积极性,
拓展他们所能运用的词汇,虽然这样我的工作量会比较大,但这样对学生切实提高运用词汇的能力是有切实好处的。
二、在教授完每一单元的课文后,给学生进行有关的句子翻译
由于高一时学生的基础较为薄弱,暂不要求学生用华丽的词汇和复杂的句子来表达意思。
高二时,注重训练学生写比较紧密的句子、高级复杂的句子结构。
在讲评作文的时候,经常给学生们总结一些比较常用的连接句子之间关系的过渡词:1、表示并列或递进,如and,then,next等;2、表示选择的,如or等;3、表示转折的如but/ though/ although/ however/anywaydespite等;4、表示对比或比较,如while/ meanwhile/like等;5、表示举例或例证的,如for example/for instance/such as等;6、表示强调的,如also,in addition,what’s more等;7、表示时间或顺序的,如first(of all),in the first place等;8、表示因果关系的,如because/as/since /for等;9、表示结论或摘要的,如in short,in a word,in conclusion等。
这样学生写出来句子可能稍微平淡一点,但是运用得好,又没什么语法错误的仍然不失为一篇好文章,只有他们在运用这些基础词的基础上,以后才有可能慢慢指导他们向更高层次的写作水平发展。
三、在教授完每一单元的内容后,给学生进行有关的作文训练
针对作文的重要性,专门开写作课。
每单元专门开辟一个讲如
何写各种文体的写作专栏,如写人的、写事的、写景的、写物的;应用文中书信类的;写怎么样的文体可以用哪些单词哪些句型可以运用,而且还有相应的作文题目提供。
那么在上课的过程中,就可以以它为教材,比如说写人,叫两个同学站到全班同学面前,互相之间觉得可以用哪些词汇可以描写对方(这个过程往往是非常有趣能调动学生参加积极性的),然后我再叫其他同学,看有什么补充,然后对同学的词汇和句型做一个总结归纳,同时把准备好的一些材料一起加进去,然后布置学生写作的家庭作业,让他们回家把它写完整。
他们写作文的过程我分三个阶段:第一阶段是他们的初稿,这个往往是错误百出;第二阶段我要求他们互相之间改正,然后我再做批改,他们在此基础上做第二稿;第三阶段就是抄和背诵相应的英语例文,让他们抄例文,对比一下自己写的文章,这样对他们是极有启发意义的。
经过一段时间的针对性训练,部分学生的写作水平有了明显提高。
