Which is your idea of marriage, love-oriented or

money-oriented?

Views towards marriage are diverse among young people. Just

as the opening sentence of Pride and Prejudice says——It is a truth

universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good

fortune, must be in want of a wife，but is that true？Is it absolutely right

to us all that money comes first when it comes to marriage？No，it is

definitely wrong in my opinion！

Firstly，if a marriage is based on money，it will last not as long

as the love-oriented one. It is truly right that money is something we all

need as well as love，but money is also the merely worldly possessions

which we can go without。On the contrary，can you image what your

world will be without love？

Secondly，if money becomes the deciding factor of our

marriage，our standard of making friends will be narrowed down to a

arranged marriages. We can’t be happy if we get married without love.

Although arranged marriages will get the support of our parents, but

marry someone we don’t understand is really terrible. Furthermore,

arranged marriages have a higher divorce rate. In a word, marriages based

on love are more successful.

（2）No, I think arranged marriages are more successful than marriages

based on love. Our parents hope us to be matched for marriage(门当户对), it contains their love for us. What’s more They have a lot of

experience on insight into others, so they can’t be wrong.
