三、完形填空(共20小题,每小题1.5分,满分30分)
When I was a child, my parents always told me to be independent. They
believed that self-reliance was the key to success in life. Therefore, I
learned to do things by myself and never asked for help.
One summer vacation, I decided to visit my grandparents in the
countryside. The journey was long and tiring, but I was determined to
make it on my own. I bought a train ticket and left for the station
early in the morning.
As I arrived at the station, I found that I had forgotten my luggage at
home. I was worried and anxious, but I knew I couldn’t turn back. I had
to find a solution to this problem.
After searching around, I found a man who looked like a kind-hearted
person. I approached him and explained my situation. He listened
carefully and then said, “Don’t worry, young man. I will help you find
a solution.”
The man led me to a nearby store and asked the owner to lend me a
suitcase. The owner agreed and gave me a big bag to put my things in. I
was grateful and thanked the man for his kindness.
With the help of the kind-hearted man, I managed to continue my journey.
I arrived at my grandparents’ house safely and happily. My grandparents
were surprised to see me and asked me about the journey. I told them
about the kind man who helped me and they were touched by his kindness.
From that experience, I learned the importance of helping others. It
made me realize that we all need each other in life. Whether it’s a
small favor or a big help, we should always be willing to lend a hand.
