Period 1 Welcome to the unit:Traveling

I.Designing of the teaching procedure (教学整体设计)

本堂课的内容为模块二第二单元的开堂课,教学话题是traveling,我的目的是通过这一节课的引入,勾起学生对本单元后面部分的兴趣,从而提高学习效果。

设计宗旨:学生为主体,教师为辅助。教学内容情景化,是本堂课的基本理念,而情景化的关键是生活化。本堂课授课教师将与同学们一起更多了解自己的学校,了解株洲,了解湖南,了解魅力无比的祖国。老师将把学生分成4个小组 ,每个小组以组长为主体参与课堂活动, 同时将教学内容转化为任务,即对景区进行游览解说,提问,并要求全体同学回答相关问题,对表现优秀者予以加分奖励,最后得出得胜的那个大组,并发放奖品。

II. Analysis of the students’ learning condition(学情分析)

本堂课的上课班级为高一1603班,三层次学生,英语基础较差,学习兴趣不足。从学生的角度来看,本堂课关于旅游的话题可能会让他们感兴趣。而分组取外景的方式也会让他们有新鲜感。所以如果将教学内容的难度控制在他们能自如表达的程度之内,同时增加生活情节和趣味性,授课效果将会比较好。

III. Analysis of the teaching material(教材分析)

本堂课授课内容为Module 2 Unit 2的第一课时Welcome to the unit,主要是为本单元关于traveling旅游的话题做好导入。该部分整个内容有四幅景点图片和三个问题,教学内容不多,因此关键在于以教材为依托,抛开书本图片,让学生走出教室,亲自拍摄他们自己想要的东西,然后制作成ppt或影音资料在课堂上展示,让学生在讨论和展示的过程中自主构建知识,学会表达,锻炼勇气和概括能力。

IV. Teaching objectives (教学目标)

Practice speaking English, using the following topics:

1. Use pictures about our school to go over Attributive clauses learned in Unit 1 and

develop love of our school.

2. Know how to guide a traveling and choose a tourism destination.

V. Important points and difficult points (教学重难点)

1. Review Attributive clauses.

2. How to organize a travel.

3. How to be a good guide .

Before class

1. Make a video using the pictures from my own travel.

2. Ask the students to make preparations about the places they want to recommend most , and

make ppts about the above, including pictures, information and description.

3. Divide the students into 4 groups and ask them to collect information about the places they

want to recommend .

【设计说明】 选取学生生活中和自己专门拍的图片,并用他们自己的语言描述和概括。让学生通过网络和生活去收集与课堂有关内容的资料,既能帮助学生更多的了解相关信息,促进自主学习,又能在小组讨论的时候展示比较多的内容,从而获得自信。

In class

Step 1 Lead-in

Task1: Play a short video for all students about Wulong,Chongqin,:

The first point of doing that is to lead in the teaching contents of the period and the unit, using some

of the pictures from the TV program Where are we going ,daddy?

The second point is to show our own pictures taken in Wulong when we were traveling there with

my friends

Take the video to lead in the lesson and ask the students to describe the places they would like to

go ..

【设计说明】课堂的引入是一堂课的关键环节,所以无论是选取与旅游有关的视频还是旅行,都要契合情景化这一主题。首先拿我自己在假期和同事们在重庆武隆的旅游做个小视屏,而刚好这也是爸爸去哪儿的拍摄点来吸引同学们的注意力,确实能在视屏里看到自己认识的人能增加亲切感和想象力,同时也能沟起他们对下文的好奇心。

Rules(规则):

Group work comes first(团队活动).

Mutual assessments between groups are the most important(小组互评). 3 Listen carefully and give your comments on the other group.

【设计说明】该部分设计主要是明确活动内容和奖励规则,让组内的每个学生明白自己的任务,学生明白接下来要做的事。

Step 3 Tasks and presentations

Task2: No1 Middle School.

Ask students to make sentences using attributive clauses and the key words shown on the screen.

The group getting more chances and doing better will get more scores.

【设计说明】因为学生入校不久,对学校了解不多,这部分的设计主要让学生快速抢答,培养上课积极思考积极答问,互相配合,为自己的小组取得好成绩,提高他们的自信,激发学习英语的热情。只有他们了解学校各大楼的作用才可以准确地介绍我们的学校,热爱我们的学校,让学生明白爱国爱家爱校爱班爱自己是件幸福的事,小组合作,抢答能让他们互相鼓励互相学习互相进步,鼓励学生开口说英语, 同时复习本单元学过的语法定语从句。让学生明白定语从句的使用无处不在。为了让学生能在小组合作时充分利用时间和能力,在抢答时设计计时器,要求学生抢答时说话要干脆利落,不要结结巴巴。

Task3: Describing the places they will go to.

Choose one place you want to recommend most,using your knowledge and the facts that you

find, then tell us why.

As the ppts about the certain places have been prepared, now the students are required to show

their works and write down 3-- 5 questions to describe the certain place.

Ask the guide to come to the blackboard to talk about their pictures and ask questions according

to what their group has shown .

The 2 places have been prepared by the students, and the suggested places are as follows:

1. A social activity to Leidashi 2. Travelling in Hunan

【设计说明】这部分让学生参与到教学中来当个小老师,体验老师备课的艰辛,因而会更好的做到听课,笔记,思考于一体,即能培养兴趣,增加胆量,特别是内向的学生可以更多的去敞开心扉,活泼开朗的享受每个课堂。把自己的旅游经历分享给大家也是件幸福而骄傲的事情。
