本着英语新课程的要求，从学生的生活实际和认知水平出发。
激发孩子们的学习兴趣，树立起英语学习的自信心，发展自主学习的能力和合作精神。
为学生的学习创设情境，设计活动。
让孩子们在活动过程中不知不觉的完成新知识的学习，使学习动机由被动转为主动，使他们乐学、愿学。
教学目标1.认知目标(1)学会运用从课本获得的信息。
(2)用新句型“I’m sending___to___”并进行交际。
2.情感态度(1)引导学生对本课知识产生兴趣。
(2)鼓励他们敢于开口勤于开口。
(3)培养孩子们有礼貌的进行交流。
3.学习策略（1）小组合作学习（2）营造生活分为进行语言交流设计分析1.重、难点分析（1）重点：运用I’m sending___to___句型，通过活动进行突破。
（2）难点：运用句型进行交流，创设情境，学生把句子扩展为实际应用。
2.学习对象：本课学习者是五年级第二学期的学生，年龄大概在12.13岁，他们已有一定的语言基础，能进行简单的语言交流。
借助媒体手段，通过创设情境、课文、对话表演等形式实现人人参与的英语活动交际化。
媒体设计1.借助课件展现课文内容和创设情境所需的图片。
2.运用不同面值的邮票、苹果、自制邮箱、明信片为教学活动做准备。
教学过程：一、准备活动1.唱英文歌《Who is drawing》和学生一起边打节奏边唱。
（设计意图：一方面营造英语氛围，让学生进入学习英语的状态，另一方面复习动词的现在进行时态，为下一步新知出现的内容作铺垫。
）2.师生间互相打招呼问好并自由对话。
3.口语练习，进行每天一次的free talk。
（设计意图：每天一次的值日生活可以培养学生良好的听说习惯和用英语思维的能力。

lesson20 How far is Beijing （2）说课材料一、说教材（一）本课是冀教版小学五年级英语上册教材第20课内容，由于考虑到本课内容难度大，学生一个课时掌握不了，所以设计了两个课时，本节课是第二课时。
主要内容就是让学生掌握两个新单词及句型并练习对话。
本节课内容贴近生活，联系实际，容易使学生达到学以致用的目的。
（二）教学目标1.知识与能力:（1）学习新单词: about kilometers（2）学习疑问句:How far is Beijing? How far is it form ---to---? It’s about---2.过程与方法:1、通过复习巩固，学习新的知识。
2、通过练习对话掌握句型。
3.情感态度价值观:激发学生的情感,培养学生合作探究的精神。
二、说教法五年级的学生在此时对英语学习已经有了一定的经验并养成了良好的学习习惯，形成了有效的学习策略，他们对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣。
他们渴望获得更多的锻炼机会。
本节课采用的是情境教学法。
首先通过复习巩固上节课内容。
其次老师范读，学翻译、读课文，理解课文内容、用练习的方式学习本节课内容，最后练习对话从而激发他们的学习兴趣，培养他们运用英语进行交际的能力。
三、说学法本节课内容贴近生活容易理解，是在学习数字的基础上学习的，所以学习时，先通过复习旧知识，再引导学生学习新的知识，最后通过游戏、练习对话已达到巩固本节课所学的知识。
